Bradis. With respect, suggest you read the RNS pre 28th Jan. My understanding was that the nomad said he/she would resign if a certain director was not reappointed or persuaded not to resign. Brief silence: Nomad resigns: another pause and the aforesaid director reappears as soon as the Nomad has cleared his metaphorical desk and left the building. Amazing coincidence or clever timing, the loss of nomad by their own hand, thus avoiding the need to pay severance fees for loss of earnings. Yes and I believe in the tooth fairy and Father Christmas (?).
ShareQuest. Unless you are a deramper trying to persuade others to dump thir shares when this comes out of suspension, please consider: £500 is not small money but neither is it big money, but it is still £500, so if a Nomad takes this on, he/she are not doing it for charity but so because they can, IMPO, see a realistic opportunity to make a progressive income in the future advising The company If you do not have, or cannot afford L1 or L2 at present, then look at a little app called StockSpy that runs on both iPad and Android. It is about 3 - 5 mins behind real time, stores a limited trading history for any share on USA or UK exchanges. It will cost about 10 quid plus a monthly support cost of £1 and is a brilliant accessory IMO to a budget conscious tyro trader until you can justify the cost of L2 from LSE or others. Remember £500 is not small money but neither is it big money, but it is still £500 and worth looking after, IMO, as if it were so much more. GL.
TommyMat. On 28 Jan 2016, I made the following comment: .......... If NWOG can be raised from a 'living corpse' state, albeit slowly, and with a total lack of regulatory interest in the shenanigans that brought that company to the brink, then why not PTV. IMPO, there seem to be a number of people in this share who genuinely know enough about corporate resurrection and levitation to kick this faltering vehicle back into life. It's not over until it's over...... To clarify NWOG was 'resurrected' with the last few days of their nomad walkout, has survived and is gradually being turned around by the rejigged BOD. Furthermore, a particular pundit on this BB who comments on PTV occasionally, has expressed his/her tacit belief that this share has a serious future, and I doubt he/she would put their learned neck out to comment positively if this enterprise was so much 'doo da' Courage mon brav, Bon weekend.
JS. Thanks. Just a bit weary pre weekend of doomsters and perhaps over-reacted but yes you are right, some listings have got it well right. Have a good week
Onion Perhaps you could give us the benefit of your superior intellect and identify which shares on AIM are not in massive debt. Secondly, to lighten our darkness, identify the very small number of punters AIM who buy shares for charitable purposes only. Let him/her that is without a mercenary attitude here, be free to criticise others. Truth be told, it is not only onions that make one weep O happy day...
Apparently 'they' are not as enlightened as this 'joyous throng' and so removed the foreign posts. However, with regards to the concerns of dh42, it is more likely that the grim reaper speaks Latin: "quo vadis" and all that, followed by the 'Te Deum' as one moves on to eternity, or is it infinity, and beyond. As the English language is such a 'melange' of fragments from so many languages, that anyone should get upset when we recuse our heritage, is perhaps sad. Perhaps some extensive conversations in a broad Dorset or Norolk dialect might make the metropolitan elite realise that in the 'sticks', a different converse exists. As for Shakespeare......... that will never catch on, will it ?
Mat... If NWOG can be raised from a 'living corpse' state, albeit slowly, and with a total lack of regulatory interest in the shenanigans that brought that company to the brink, then why not PTV. Triumph. Perhaps, with a nod towards Mark Twain, until the 'death of the dog' is actually confirmed, it might be better to wait for the vet to comment. Remember Lazarus, remember the Phoenix or the daughter of Jairus...... "She is not dead but sleepeth" GLA
Oh happy day. However, looking beyond the extra bawbees earned today, if the 'new boys' were smart enough to pick up such a massive chunk of shares for a modest price, surely they will apply the same strategy again to acquire further shares, perhaps by an 'independent vehicle' once the SP falls back. These chaps seem to be very switched on, will surely work for their own interests and will buy as and when it suits then, rather us humble punters IMPO. Another spike would be nice but.......
Good Morning all Now perhaps the future will look a brighter for the SP but the talk of reverse takeover, by whom, when and at what price. If as commented yesterday, the potential is in excess of 100,000 ounces per year, eventually, then surely this company is going to be worth a very pretty penny. I know the road from Conakry north through to Mali is appalling, but at least a dozen road tankers carrying 40,000 litres of fuel travel up to the Malian border every day and then make the return journey empty on subsequent days, as do other freight vehicles, so getting mining gear into the area should not be a problem in the dry season. Christmas cheer to all.
Legalease. Thanks for advice. I wondered if there was something different about this because when I looked for a quote to sell today, the price offered was way below that on L2, circa 0.1155. It was almost as if the broker wanted the transaction reversed at a profit without actually posting any trades. Pure supposition on my part of course, or is there a genuine reluctance in 'punter land' to put any shares onto the market. That is, a mass holding of the 'broker breath' pending clear direction or trend of share movement.
I feel like a dog trying to knaw an impossible bone with this, Even now, my trade, dated 17.12.2015 of 500+K shares at 0.1433 has not yet appeared. I have written to III and have back a message saying that I have definitely bought the shares, but sometimes there can be a delay before the shares appear on my account. Ok, that I can understand if the share is busy, but even so, I would expect the deal to appear in the list of shares traded. Any ideas anyone?
kingivor. I tried that exchange as well but nothing reported there either, however as I have my Contract Note here, I do have the confirmation that the shares have been bought and paid for today. Weird though. Perhaps with all the traffic in these shares today, mine will pop up over the weekend with a multi bag increase attached. Ha, ha.
In the last 30 minutes, I purchased a small parcel of SMA shares, but no sign of the transaction on L2. Can anyone provide a reason. Broker says the transaction is en route. Have the carrier pigeons flown home early for Christmas?
IF and it is very a big IF, there is something extremely hot downstream, then perhaps it is a good idea for the Directors to get their shares tucked away whilst the SP is static, so that when this baby wakes up, no one can accuse them of excessive opportunism. IMPO.
From my earlier research when I first bought into this share, if my memory serves me right, the principal shareholders hold their shares in offshore companies in traditional safe havens and outside the reach of Chinese financial regulation. If that remains the current status, I would be surprised if the same people would deliberately seek to foul their own nest, as there would be no advantage to them. Next week on this share and a couple of other Chinese stocks looks to be interesting IMO. DYOR Bon weekend.
Discreet investors ? Perhaps just shy, but hello anyway to whoever is buying these shares.
Rick43 Do you think that there could be a delay in releasing the Interim figures because of the re-calculations needed to adjust for the change of the valuation of the Ren to the U$D or £sterling ?
An admirable quality but it does my nerves no good at all, so BOD please break the silence and talk to us. PLEASE.
Dommo. I did say sorry twice, but can say it again if it helps However, the SP did not drop out of sight like so many other I could name. I just hope that the 'bossman' squares with us next week and tells us the true state of the business. It has probably been a tough six months, but the Chinese economy is growing at least 3 time larger and faster than the UK so I am hopeful of 'steady as you go' interim results, at least. Bon weekend a tous.
