Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Looks like we are hovering around bear territory. Near 20% decline from the recent high.
Where is the bottom on this! Better not be 4! How quickly Glencore and other commodity plays fell out of favor.
Word of the day, week and month!
Hopefully we just saw it. Several weeks ago, optimistic me was hoping 500 was the new bottom, but we blew past that.
Not good. They call it Dr. Copper and has been a reliable predictor of how the world economy unfolds.
This is more than a shake. This is an awful tumble from the recent highs. Feel for those who invested at the highs. Glencore always dropped faster than it rises.
Certainly taking it worse than other miners, but no one is looking good today.
These big drops make it seem like the old days with Glencore.
We did have a nice jump earlier. Too bad we couldn't hold it and its eroding now.
Ugly day! Hoping we hold 5.
I really thought settling the investigations would have given this a big pop. It's been sort of trading as normal right in line with other miners. I remember the big hit the share price took when investigations were announced. I felt that drop was way overdone.
Glad it is behind us. I would have hoped for more of a share price bump on the news though. And I thought it would have been settled for less money.
Seems like we went from the start of a commodities super cycle to doom & gloom world ending in a month.
Once all the crazy stuff gets sorted (inflation, shortages, covid, war etc) I do think we will see some real boom times ahead.
Yea what I meant was I expected a small drop on ex-div due to the payout. This large drop is due to things you mentioned and more. Once all is sorted out, we will rise again, just don't know when that is.
I was waiting to sell a small slice after ex-div day. That didn't work out. I expected a small decrease but not this. ugg.
It is an ugly week. Feel bad for the people who bought in the 530's.
All the miners are taking it on the chin today. Albeit, Glencore more than most but that's Glencore for you.
In hindsight, it would have been better to sell 2 days ago and forego the dividend. ex-div day for Glencore always seems to drop more than div payment. Here's hoping to a short lived drop and onwards and upwards.
Let's hope it's the good Russia news. That would be good for the world and also point to no underlying fundamental issue with Glencore we did not see.
For those who have been on this ride since the beginning, you kind of always wait for the shoe to drop with Glencore.
As a long time holder through all the crazy ups and downs, I can hardly believe it. I have been conditioned to keep waiting for something bad to drop this! Always felt the company was undervalued and a lot of misunderstanding about it. Here to hoping the good times keep rolling!
Heading towards pre earnings prices. This is why I find this stock so frustrating. Even when they seem to do everything right, they get no love on the market.
