From my experience (in the sam field as tmz) is that a design win is announced at a time when the customer has already taken samples and evaluated them. They have built an evaluation platform and proven the system out. Time to manufacture will be relatively short due to pcb level design being a quite quick. (in reality it will be an extension of an existing product, say bt speaker, so a lot of design re-use) Tmz will not have a load of parts on the shelf but will have a wafer and packaging turn around time of about 8-10weeks. So the customer will have time to get its other parts designed/sourced ready to hit the ground running. Product ready for Christmas...

Why not dig for gold now? Any miner should go for the biggest returns first. Why dig a small hole now, when you can dig a big hole soon which has better ROI Less likely to need further funding along the way with this approach

Agreed. The trouble with tech companies is that they are often technology driven not money driven. As for exciting, I disagree, DAB is going to have a revival as many geographic locations are turning off am/fm in coming years. Steady growth ...

Good news! Regardless of its potential sensium was not working. Dab and audio are doing well. Move on ...

Had a quick check and they use 802.15.6 which is a medical standard, not really consumer. I am not sure what the details of the phy is and whether it could be made compatible with say 15.4 or ble. However the IP of the macros could be sold on if compatible (same process node or synthesizable) So even if sensium is wrapped up there is some valuable IP and some lower power radio guys that could be used to support design services activity. They did say they hope to break even this year and never mentioned sensium decision being a caveat.

Maybe they should diversify and sell the IP into a consumer wearables market for the likes as fitbit or cloudtag, seems to be very much in demand. Anyone know what wireless standards sensium uses?

Sensium strategic review should be reported anytime in next few weeks. They either cut their losses and stream line the dab and connected audio, or they see a future for sensium as the review sees ROI. Personally I would look at using the IP to support hardware platforms for fitbit and cloudtag. Them guys sell product, toumaz essentially design silicon.

Ab, the sv review will out soon. I would say before the end of June, but definitely in a months time. What I find crazy is that the world is mad for fitbit and ctag etc. yet sensium which does the same but in different setting has much less interest ... Regardless, DAB and connected audio is where the steady cash will come from

I do not think there is a wrong option tbh. It is just the uncertainty that unsettles investors. If they can maintain their target of being cash positive by mid year and DAB contiunues it popularity (some countries turning off am/fm transmitters) and the connected audio progresses then health care is either the sugar on top or removing a burden depending on which way they jump.

That should give some exposure to the wealthy motor racing types. On a more serious note .. Hutchy, Mcguinness or Dunlop? I feel it is Dunlops year...

With the revenue from audio alone the sp should be higher. The profits are zilch due to the burden of healthcare. If it is not going to bring in revenue soon it needs to be cut loose. Imo.
