I've said all along that the ED product is a non-starter and FUM's only hope is TPR, their only product which has attracted interest.

I'm convinced their claim regarding dermasys as the "new" ED treatment is a red herring, they aren't even advertising it on their website, just MED when they're saying "We anticipate headline efficacy results of the double-blind phase on the first Phase 3 by end of December 2019." What a joke! What's more, it'll take years to compile a new dossier and obtain regulatory approval so IMO claims that the medical device pathway will be "easier" is IMO misleading because it will still take many years.

If TPR is returned then FUM will be excellent for a short. I've shorted the obvious ones in the past like Carrilion and Debenhams but FUM I admit may be more problematic to short given how small and illiquid it is, but I'll be on the blower to my broker asap if Thornton throw in the towel!

That's a strange comment given dermasys has been tested by FUM for many years.

Agree about the inept FUM management. They are really poor - they couldn't sell beer to an alcoholic. And they are still advertising MED on their website, should they not be shouting dermasys as an ED treatment from the rooftops? Very suspect!

I'm not "assuming" when I base it on my own experience when trying Viagra - I was there! And I think it is an excellent product. Dermasys will have a hell of a job taking on the already well established Viagra - just my opinion.

Before you get angry and upset with my valid comments, bear in mind the lack of interest shown to get the failed MED and now the placebo to Market. FUM had to dilute the shares by 20% to raise just £3 million, barely 6 months working capital. That tells its own story.

As I've said, I'll stick around to see how Thornton progress with TPR but I honestly think if TPR is returned FUM will die. Sorry if my view upsets you.

If you're desperate "to get help", frankmu, there's the perfectly adequate Viagra already available. Although not perfect, it satisfies the vast majority of ED sufferers, which is probably why nobody is interested in MED/dermasys and the huge costs which will be incurred in battling Viagra. Shame, good idea, but there's not a cat in hell's chance dermasys will dethrone Viagra.

Do I know what you know? I'm not sure, but I don't know any insider info if that's what you mean.

Am I standing back? I first got drawn to FUM because I thought MED was a good idea and still on the go (according to their website) but alas turned out to be dead and buried. As for the placebo taking its place I think that's a load of codswallop so the ED product will never happen IMO.

So just TPR left which I think is a good idea because an effective pain relief product through the skin has still a long way to go. 2 major concerns though:

1). Having said the above, pain relief through the skin has still improved significantly recently as I'm assuming the big pharmas are improving / developing their own products.
2). It's taking Thornton ages to address last year's issues which begs the questions - dermasys can't answer the questions or Thornton are dragging their feet (own product? - see 1 above) and keeping dermasys under wraps so to speak.

In summary, if Thornton progress with TPR and even sign up for further territories then FUM could be a good investment, but the signs aren't good IMO.

There's the warning in black and white. Been on the cards for months, that's why the SP has been suppressed and the PE/dividend yield too good to be true. Surprised this hasn't tanked much more to be honest.

If I "knew" which direction SPs moved I'd be a millionaire by now! For me it's what you sell at rather than the buy price, so current SP is irrelevant.

At this moment in time I'm bear-ish on FUM so buying is not an option whatever the price. All I have to go on is an out of date website and one of the lead products (TPR) possibly just a couple of weeks from make or break so I'll just stand back and observe for the time being.

Can't see what I have to say having any influence on the SP, though. Do you think BB comments make a difference?!!

FUM aren't even advertising dermasys on their website as an out and out ED treatment so it makes one wonder if claims to get this to market are just a red herring to keep the company going for another year for the benefit of the directors and to give Lombard more time to get rid of their entire holding.

I'll be keeping an eye out for the TPR update which should be released shortly, but the length of time it's taking Thornton to answer the questions is very alarming. Either dermasys is fundamentally flawed or the big pharmas (including Thornton!) are working on something much better.

If the TPR update is bad I'll consider shorting this as I think it's days are then numbered.

Also, FUM bulls are called rampers and FUM bears are called de-rampers. Is that how it works? Not a discussion, just an "us and them" argument? And is a de-ramper somebody who opposes ramping? Is that a bad thing?

Thanks for your answer, PATTSV. But isn't this cutting it fine? It seems the MHRA gave FUM a year to respond last February, so if nothing happens in the next few weeks the Thornton submission will have expired!

Hi Jonah, I'm not deliberately slating anyone I'm just voicing some concerns. Very touchy on here!

Who is Mr Adams? I know he has a large stake in FUM but then again there's millions of more people who don't so I wouldn't base my investment decision on who holds and who doesn't!

I can see clear trials for MED but not dermasys, PATTSV. And what if further trials are indeed required for dermasys and MED is used as the placebo which will give a high placebo response therefore a failed trial? It's all very confusing!

Thanks for your advice, colmcq. Silly me, I should have checked the RNSs but my first port of call is usually the website rather than reading reams of RNSs. A badly maintained website is poor management and also misleading.

Checking out the dermasys product, even though it formed part pf the MED trials it wasn't the lead product being tested so I'll be surprised if the regulators didn't demand a formal complete trial (especially the FDA), albeit a simpler pathway than MED, but still necessary taking a few years. Which begs the question - was the recent fund raise short term survival rather than long term investment?
