Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Oh yes, mine too Zyder. We're all good thanks. We've been on the maternity ward since Wednesday afternoon and my partner has had the 3 allowed types of inducer, but still no baby!! Seeing a doc soon to discuss a plan. Won't be long now whatever happens. Everything crossed.
There is a link on the very bottom right the page Zyder. You'll have to search for frr and then go to chat, you could possibly save that as a bookmark or an icon on the homescreen of your phone.
I asked the trader poster earlier how many shares were actually traded at that price but got no response. If a tiny amount were traded at that price it's irrelevant really. A shorter may have held some shares as well, so who is to say it isn't one of the "team" selling them to make a nice flashy headline. Without more info how could anything be read into this sale?
A little late as I don't like sharing personal info, but on the otherhand if it keeps the sharks out it's worth the risk. Thanks to all involved in setting this up.
How many shares did he get? I couldn't see a number for that.
How many shares did he get?
Hi, CF, yes i saw them but already had this on my mind. I can ignore much of the posts on here from angry and upset posters, it's a very difficult time, but I wanted a proper discussion with PJ as he is clever and persuasive. He was implying that it was a certainty that all is lost here and I didn't think this was a truth.
Rainbow, wakey wakey! You had PJ posting about how our money is gone. Full stop. He is a clever guy for sure, but what he was posting slmply was not true. The money is unavailable right now due to delisting, but I outlined routes for it to come back. I said that although they might be unlikely, they are there and therefore it is impossible to say we'll never get our money back, which is how his posts were initially coming across. Whether I believe it to be likely or not is irrelevant, as it would just be my opinion. It's not my opinion for the record, but for the many disgruntled on here they will likely feel it is unlikely. My aim was stopping the rhetoric that it is a certainty that all is lost here. It really isn't all lost and anyone that says otherwise at this stage may be posting emotionally or just being deceitful.
Great time to do it. What's the benefit of consolidating a privately owned company though? ....
Fair enough Rainbow, It's your opinion that it's very likely we'll get our money back. Kinda missing the point of my dialogue with PJ. To say at this stage it's impossible for it to come back is just not true. Perhaps unlikely in the eyes of many, but not factually true as things stand right now. I'm worried by those that would have us believe there is no chance and we should just accept that.
After chatting to PJ and getting to a point where he said there is only a very slim chance we'll get our money back, rather than it's just gone forever and impossible to get back ever, I see our posts have been removed. Obviously didn't quite fit with the narrative that some would like to have on here, so they reported the thread to get it removed. Nice work! No one can say it is impossible that Frontera can't come back from this. Perhaps very unlikely, but not impossible as things stand.
Hi PJ. I posted this in response to your post about why Frontera wouldn't relist on AIM, I presume you thinking is part of the reason for your opinion that we should just accept that our money is gone. Do you have a response? My post - I agree, they (Frontera) wouldnt list on AIM for the reasons you state, but if we are going to think of scenarios where Frontera get to a point that they are able to relist we should take into account what conditions it may be under. Big ifs, but if Baker Hughes and BP sign deals with us and the next campaigns are funded by them and the New York loan, do you honestly believe they'd relist on AIM? Successful drilling campaigns would take us to the next tier and the AIM casino would not even be on the radar. Failing that we can but hope for a buyout or dividends. There is still a glimmer of Hope, so I'm not sure why you feel you need to make that seem an impossibility. It's really not.

The shorters will prefer it if FRR either lose the case or go under in some other way. Their positions close then. Frontera simply delisting and staying private for time ties up there money for a long while. That's why I think we need to be careful with our actions now and that for time being until the court cases close that we should let the company fight that battle without getting too militant. Constructive dialogue through friends.of Frontera would be great imo. No unknown group and certainly no class action at this stage.
Thanks for posting. Much appreciated.
The holders and shorters and every type inbetween are in the same boat at the moment. All our money is tied up.
I don't think the majors would like the bad PR that came with it. If they just bought us out that would be fine, of course, but to jv with all this in the bachground just isn't going to smell nice. So yes, I do believe that the majors are still involved it is a good sign. Just my opinion
Am I the only that is more worried by the talk on here than by the company's actions today? Yes we've delisted and the future is uncertain, but there is still a chance for this to come good. It really was unlikely that Frontera were going to find a nomad in the time they had and especially under the current circumstances. Most importantly, what do Frontera really have to gain at this current time by re-listing? Perhaps they'd be better off using the re-listing fee, and fees to the new nomad, to pay their legal team and other expenses they'll have. They of course wouldn't announce that as they wouldn't want Hope knowing they are cash strapped during the court battle. This is high stakes poker now and it looks like Hope and Zaza are going all in.
It's good to hear that the majors are still in discussions too and that business continues on the ground. If the majors had walked, it might put to bed the theory that they have known about this court action all along and that dealing with Hope might actually be a prerequisite to them to come onboard. If they are still in discussions and do come onboard, I don't think we need worry about any stitching up of the private investor base. I don't think BP or Baker Hughes would want to be part of that. Talk of action groups may be a little premature and the class action talk is worrying at this stage. Frontera are due in court again in February, so wouldn't it be wise to wait until after then before we start going down this route. Let Frontera fight it out in court. If they lose we're screwed anyway, but if they win they will also then be in a position to communicate more freely and we can judge them better by their actions then.
Just a little more patience guys! And remember, not everyone wanting to get to the bottom of this will have a share holders best interests at heart. Others that are locked in will just want this over and in a way that is detrimental to the company (and share holders) too.
TSBS. Not knowing about the interest payments to outrider being due has certainly lowered my trust in the Frontera BOD, but I'm not quite where you are. Perhaps I'm being naive, but I still don't feel like we have lost everything yet. If they can win in court, get the NY funding and start the 2019 campaign I do believe the BOD could yet surprise us.
The penultimate chapter of your book coggy.
