Interesting time lines. Like many, I hadn't realised Rare Earths take longer.

It looks like we have plenty of activity and news flow this year and into next. Harts Range drill results any day now, followed by mining licence. Prep work at Big One in Q3 and now it appears further exploratory drills at Mt Isa in Q3. Meanwhile further news from our collaboration with Metallium can come at any time, not to mention macro-economic news on Rare Earths which can only add to investor interest. On the corporate side I expect further US investor engagement and I wouldn't rule out a full Wall St. listing.

Just a guess based on Kevin Das presenting at OTC Markets Group in New York on Thursday of next week. But trading on ASX has been relatively quite this week. We had a busy day on London earlier this week but otherwise quite.

My original thinking was assay results would precede KD presentation. Now I'm thinking maybe KD presentation is more of a heads up to New York traders that results are due soon. What do I know? In short, never trust some random guy on the internet.

I don't disagree about ITX progress as a business but I base my entry price on market dynamics. 10% sold into the market would be a lot for any company but ITX is particularly susceptible given the illiquid market for its shares. Historically, ITX has dipped below £1 on several occasions. I'm not a chartist, but many are, and historic prices can have an influence. Also, from previous experience, future price movements are usually greater than my personal expectations and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the lower end of my price range. Its mostly guess work of course but I'm in no hurry to buy back in.

FWIW I anticipate a share price 80p - 100p at some point this year. I'm prepared to wait and buy in that price range.

Not that it matters to anyone on here bit I have never lost money on ITX. Traded in and out many times and made a profit each time. Panicking early has proved to be a good strategy.

I think you are spot on smartinvestment and this is the reason I sold immediately on learning about Octopus. It is no reflection on Itaconix but LTH will remember when Woodford had to exit under very familiar circumstances. Itaconix is in a better shape now than back then so I don't anticipate the same collapse in share price but ITX is still a very illiquid share and ongoing selling by octopus will have an effect. As you said, it is important to understand what is moving the share price so that punters don't panic or make false assumptions but rather see this as a buying opportunity.

I'm not convinced the US price is anything other than a fat finger trade. It was a single, low volume buy and I'm sure it would have been mirrored on the London market if there was any substance to it.

Five years of slack not enough?

Some chunky buys have come in this morning but market makers are holding the price at 1.04 ask.

Its come out of the blue as we were all expecting the next news to drop is for the drilling results at Harts Range or maybe some news on mining licence for Big One deposit. An acquisition is intriguing as it seems NFM already have their hands full. I have to assume this acquisition will add materially to the company's prospects, otherwise why detract from current Harts Range and Big One activities?

It will be interesting to see how NFM opens on OTCQB today. A 257% rise yesterday to 4.56 US cent looks like a fat fingered trade as the volume is much too low to effect the share price to that degree

However, with yesterday's suspension on ASX who knows? I still think we would have seen a price jump here on the london market if the OTCQB price is to be believed. All will become clear once US markets open.

As I understand it, nevertogiveup is a qualified mining engineer who has years of experience working in this region. He has first hand, professional experience working on many of the mining licences mentioned on these boards. I'm sure if someone was to engage him in a respectful discussion he could make a great contribution to this board. Unfortunately, the 'copy and paste' brigade believe they know better.

I've sold out again (small profit) based on AJP08 info on Octopus. This just reminds me too much of when Woodford had to dispose of his holding. LTH will remember the devastating affect that has on share price (actually good for me at the time as it presented an excellent entry price). I'd rather sit it out for now. Its very frustrating that there are so many bumps in the road beyond the company's control. I still believe the company has a great future but it just needs a run of luck without any external issues.

Also, I wouldn't rely on copper prices to bail you out. Copper is well into bubble territory and the bust is coming some time this year. I say that as someone who is invested in copper stocks, but I'm a realist. The current copper price is down to arbitrage traders buying on the world market and selling to US buyers who are building up inventories before the tariff on copper is introduced by Trump (as he has already promised). There is no way this ends well for copper prices. If Trump goes ahead with copper tariff then US buyers stop buying and wind down their inventories. Worst still, if Trump TACOs then US buyers dump their copper surplus on the world market. If you really want to ride the copper price wave then buy one of the majors but be prepared to jump off when necessary.

Why not write it down in ones and zeros.
