I wonder if there'll be more sales than usual happening as it's a new tax year in the UK so I imagine a good number will be selling and rebuying within their tax free ISA allowance. Good time to move it across and stock up before the next rise in SP!

I think the planned timeline which has been mentioned for the DFS is mid-2025, rather than Q2.

Could it be that after a sustained period of low prices where investors saw the value on offer here and stocked up, they decided to take some profit when the price more than doubled? Who can blame them? That doesn't come along every day. Important to note though - and off the back of the excellent CRMA news - the price is still double what it was at for many months.

Other investors are in for the long-haul preferring to hold as they believe there will be a series of announcements leading to SP rises eclipsing this one. Everyone has different aims with their investing.

Great to see CEZ (majority owner in Geomet) setting out the next steps for this project and final approval steps. And highlighting the benefits to the Czech Republic as well as Europe more widely.

Oh I don't know SmartPunter. I'd say being the largest hard rock lithium project in Europe and having been awarded CRMA 'strategic project' status and being lined up for large institutional funding takes away a lot of risk!

But if it's too risky for you, maybe just don't buy any shares then.

I agree that past communications of the DFS has not been managed as well as it should. However, the pressure that will come from 'Strategic Project' designation under CRMA (and related finance opportunities) should deliver it this time.

But important to recognise it was never going to come out at a time when the price for lithium went to all time lows - as it would have negatively impacted on any offtake agreements.

As supplies dry up and the geopolitical tensions increase, the importance of securing lithium for Europe make this a priority now IMO.

Sporazene's earlier comment is a fair and accurate summing up of past failings on the part of EMH - as well as excellent progress and current momentum for genuine investors.

Warning to all: look out for the many rampers and de-rampers on here and look for genuine well-rounded comments like this one. Prob best to avoid recent accounts and years of unrelenting negativity from others.

Recent developments

- regional and full Czech government approval received

- designation of 'strategic project' status under CRMA which paves the way for large institutional funders to invest

- purchase of larger processing plant which has room for more product to be processed (keep in mind this is both a mining and lithium processing proposition)

- work ongoing towards meeting final conditions in order to draw down on Just Transition funding which the company has already been approved for

- release of DFS scheduled to be released mid-2025 - check yesterday's webinar on this

- offtake agreements and institutional investor conversations ongoing - and may come together

For genuine investors - rather than (de-)rampers - there seems to be a chain of good news to come here.

Obviously do your own research everyone. This is just my opinion.

As plenty of others have mentioned, now with local, national and official EU backing as a 'strategic project' under the EU's CRMA - and with a DFS scheduled to follow - it seems likely the price here can only go up. But keep in mind there will always be rampers trying to make a quick buck which leads to fluctuations. Stocks go up and down all the time. As long as the general pattern here is upwards over time, I'll be very happy.

I've only been with this stock for about two years - when good news was thin on the ground but I tried to buy when the price was low and bought more yesterday straight after the EU announcement.

Obviously this isn't financial advice. Each person needs to decide on their own level of risk but given the good news yesterday, it's clear (to me) this is a great hold.

This really is excellent news today. Czech Gov 'strategic' status granted a few weeks back. And now Cinovec designated a 'strategic project' by the EU's CRMA.

With regional, national and now EU approval, this will put pressure on all concerned to get the DFS done so additional funding can follow to get this mine up and running.

Many people on this board have waited a long time to see real progress here so a real day to celebrate!

It would be bizarre if no lithium projects were given 'strategic project' status in this first round. After all, this is the EU's chance to show the world they have a grip on a supply chain for the coming years. But clearly, that doesn't mean EMH will get approved. Although I hope it will.

I suppose there is the controversial Jadar scheme in Serbia but, given the risks and criticism of the EU with that agreement, they may feel it would be more prudent and secure to approve some lithium projects within the EU in this important first

round.

It's starting to look like it might be. It would be a mighty coincidence if the Czech Gov suddenly got around to putting in place all the regulations and laws needed at just this exact moment.

Some more large trades again today. Let's hope this is now on a firm trajectory upwards.

Now it has formal Czech Government approval as 'deposits of strategic importance', this can lay the path for Cinovec to receive approval as a strategic project under the EU's CRMA.

I'm taking it as a good sign of the recent Director share purchases. It would be even better if they were in larger volumes, but no matter how much money you have you don't throw it after investments you don't think are going to come good.

Thanks for these really useful Czech updates, Rpks. If I've understood correctly, the article mentions changes to Czech legislation to incorporate the requirements for the EU's CRMA, presumably around expedited permitting processes etc.

The article says: 'The European Union has demanded that it be incorporated into national legislation by 24 February this year.' Is there any way to know if this happened back in February and the changes have been made.

I agree the lack of official messaging is frustrating. But there are things happening in the background (confirmation of the processing plant, consultations with local residents regarding environmental concerns, meetings at CZ government level, CRMA application etc).

I wonder if the powers that be at EMH have decided to consult directly with local organisations rather than doing publicity to raise the profile of the project beyond that. I notice this report from Friends of the Earth Europe negatively highlights Zinnwald but not Cinovec for example, attention which may garner more protests.

It's hard to be sure. But I think any US-Ukraine minerals deal is likely to just increase global competition. And while the EU may be able to source some of what it needs from a US-Ukraine collaboration, it would be far from certain and open to the political ebb and flow. Much easier (and more secure) to source lithium from within the EU. If the last few weeks have shown anything, surely it's the need to secure a definite supply chain - ideally from within your own borders if at all possible.
