Most drills DON'T result in a commercial find.
One out of three is a good strike rate, yet there is anxiety about when HUR are going to tell us definitively what will happen with WW!

Sorry, Daltry, but I think what the HUR team will end up with is a very successful company.
When you add the production from LC to the increased production from Lancaster, we are heading for an unbelievably low price-earnings ratio and a huge cash pile.

I agree with you that the share price is manipulated and have been saying so for a long time.

This board is really deteriorating.
First, JP is not a lying bastard, but someone who over-hyped SOU's prospects.
Secondly, SOU is not dead and buried, but is trading at an 80 percent discount to NAV.
Thirdly, I don't know of any SCUM who can force HUR to issue bonds and thereby ruin the company - unless you are thinking in terms of David Icke's lizards disguised as humans.

I'm thinking of posting TriggerSaysDave's comments about JOG when it was in the range 57-73p.
He was advising everyone to sell, warning us that we were being scammed and taken to the cleaners and that he was telling us for our own good.

My last purchase was at 68.5, although I seriously considered buying more at 57.

TSD later predicted that JOG would go bust, but it went to 240p instead.

The share price is actually eight percent lower than it was when we were six months away from first oil, when some posters were expressing doubts as to whether we would ever achieve first oil, and 38 percent lower than it was when we achieved first oil and some posters were expressing doubts as to whether we would be able to keep the oil flowing for six months, which we have now done.

Does that make sense?

It's almost incredible that this achievement is ignored or played down or even made to look like failure by so many posters.
One poster is complaining that 11,000 bopd isn't good enough.
Everything about the company is being interpreted in the light of the share price, as though the share price actually provides more reliable information about the company than the RNSs do.
Even SOU - which as Double points out is not comparable in any way - has a share price at a discount of 79 percent to NAV (and yes, I did buy some more last week).

You're right: TLW is hoping to reduce its net debt to just $2.5 bn by the end of this year.

Not sure how long it will take HUR to recover, though.

Things are going from bad to worse: more and more oil to transport to BP, no debt to worry about, and they keep finding oil.

If the next few drills also find oil (obviously, not flowing at rates that would satisfy investors), we could be back in the low 20s.

I completely agree.
When I saw the price movement this morning, I thought the company must have announced a non-commercial discovery.
We were told that so many things could go wrong and that that was why the share price was held back.
In particular, that unless the EPS produced oil in good quantity for six months, we would be in trouble.
We're days away from six months and have just announced that two drills out of three have been successful, yet the share price falls 16 percent and now smart investors/traders can say how smart they are.
They're smart only because AIM is so perverse.
