Did you know it will be a writedown
did you know that the BOD are investing in BP shares
No investor can lose money until they sell, so I don't regard a market valuation below purchase price as being in the ****.
Once again you concentrate on investors who may have paid over £4.
there will be many who would have averages between 2 and 3 pounds.

don't worry i do that with all my stocks .

I did buy some in Oct 2020 at under 200p - current share price is way over my average. They are conducting buybacks at the moment, so if that continues a lot more shares can be scooped up on any drop.
I may even consider a bit of SB trading with BP .

The best outcome is for someone to get rid of Putin and any other such person in Russia.
He set out on a mission to build empire. Ukraine was of zero threat to Russia -
Putin would not have seen them join Nato in his life time.

No one can do anything about set backs such as Covid - you just have to accept it. We now have a war, which won't alter the timing of adjusting my Lloyds share levels. It was a very large monetary fall on my portfolio resulting from the market reaction to the invasion, but it doesn't faze me to want to sell out of stocks in a panic as i am sure plenty of investors did to increase cash.

the market determines the valuation, not a question of over or under valued.
The price is the price.
It is for investors to decide themselves whether they agree with the valuation that the market has set and take the appropriate action - Hold,sell or buy.

that is what i meant - don't bother checking the chart for a timeline - prices fluate for all reasons.
I have already said that the share price went up to 35p after the divi was cancelled - the rise was not because of the divi being cancelled.
The price then dropped from that rise - the fall was not because the divi had been cancelled.

The share price has had a knee jerk reaction from a war starting in Europe.
I am content with the current share price - i am in no hurry to decease my holding- it is good that a £2 Billion investment has been kicked off at a good purchase level

the share price was at about 27p when the divi was cancelled then went up to 35p by the start of June,- from then it continued down to 24p in September
