I am sure, that if the bod do not find a better investment, and that profitability allows, then further buybacks could be on the cards, especially if at under asset value.
BP are spending billions on BP shares and have already stated a commitment for them to continue. A number of my invested companies are buying their own shares.

A buyback ONLY reduces the share count, thereby increasing a shareholders stake.

Mine is the best description. You will only get increased eps on maintained or increased earnings. You will not get increased eps by reducing the share count by 6% with bank earnings falling by 15%.
No matter what the profitability, a shareholders percentage that they own will increase with reduced shares.
