I have no sympathy with anyone who scrapped together all they could from savings and other means (remortgage property, get out loans, maxed out on credit card etc) and put every single penny purchasing Lloyds for the first time in 2015 in the 80's.
Somehow you seem to think that this sort of person would be common place, who hasn't been able to save a few quid in the 5 years following ,to purchase any at lower levels.
Any sensible investor as I do with purchasing a companies stock for the first time, I put in a conservative amount, allowing for falls to top up.
