Penny dropped? - don't think it has.
An amount allocated to the interim dividend will be determined at the half year based on profitability, future expected profitability and bearing in mind the policy .
A reduced number of shares from now until the amount to be distributed is determined at the half year will mean that it can be spread over fewer shares.
There is no saving.
The amount per share dividend will be influenced by the number of shares in issue at the time of the announcement.

You must have missed the many hundreds of them - I think the people posting them have exhausted themselves - when a bit more refreshed they may resume again.
Personally I don't mind the share price staying at well below shareholder equity whilst the Lloyds investments in Lloyds shares are taking place.

got to understand though I am leaving plenty of SB ammunition for lower levels if it came to it. I am only doing £200 a point at the moment.
The one I closed yesterday was only just above the open level but I got the 1.33 income from it.
I don't include income from a stock to reduce my cost base of my shares and so the closed SB yesterday didn't move the dial when it came to that.

The record can only change when HU understands what makes up the total cost of a share purchase, but it is not sinking in yet.

it may be a pre tax figure out of a pre tax £2 Billion, but it is not the total cost figure. You have to add stamp duty to get a total cost
You should either post a pre tax figure or post a correct total cost figure.
Whichever one you post as I said very early on doesn't make much difference, but what does make a difference is posting an inaccurate total cost figure.

That is what I said, the average price paid on a daily basis does not include tax - I said that early on and told you, and now you have customer relations saying the same (without tax). they didn't tell you anything that i had not already told you. average price paid given on an RNS multiplied by the number of shares purchased will give you an amount spent BEFORE STAMP DUTY.
should you really be investing if you did not know that.

You HAVE to include stamp duty if you want a figure posted as 'total cost' to be accurate, I have said it all along and the same is true now.
You either post a figure representing a pre tax figure or a total cost figure.

As a total cost figure it does, but as I said to you at the time the difference in figures with a 0.5% differential isn't a great deal, but the figure used should either be before tax or the total cost.
