By 2010 there were about 68 Billion LBG shares

There would have been about 3.75 Billion HBOS shares in issue at the end of 2007.
They then had a 2 for 5 rights issue in 2008.

Each share then converted into about 0.6 of a LBG share in 2009.

I could but it has no relevance just as the 5.6 Billion Lloyds TSB shares in 2007 hasn't.

Without checking again (not got time) I would think that the number of LBG shares in 2009 after the fund raising was similar to the current amount.

you cannot make a comparison - HBOS was basically bust when LBG was formed.
Number of shares/valuation of HBOS in 2007 is not relevant.
