I think most people would have sussed out by now that a shareholder total return of 5.5p is far greater than a total return of 3.05p

rest assured - if 4 Billion shares were removed each year for the next 10 years, I wouldn't think that the market would still be valuing each share at under 50p

so you think that the share price is not higher because Lloyds rather than yielding about 3.75% in 2016 with a total return of 3.05p, it will now be yielding 5.5% with a total return of 5.5p?

Mortgage rates are not linked to the Base rate that the BOE set apart from of course trackers , but what crazy person would have taken out a tracker when base rate was at 0.1% with only one way to go. Mortgage rates have come off recent highs - still very reasonable fixed rates available.

Whatever happened to those that said that the base rate was going negative?
