The percentage increase in ownership will be determined by the number of shares the 2023 share repurchase programme has removed as a percentage of what the share count would have been without the 2023 buyback reductions. This can only be determined at the time of the conclusion of the 2023 programme.

The sole purpose of the Lloyds repurchase programme is to reduce share capital..

Should be a complete non story for Lloyds shareholders. The clue was in the name of a sam mortgage.

People could borrow against their property with up to zero interest payable. In return a percentage increase in the capital value of the property became the interest. No one has a crystal ball as to how long they will live for, and how much a property value will appreciate.

There would be zero bleating from inheritors had values hardly appreciated since the taking out of a sam and death.

I have been investing since I was 18 years old .I was not 18 years old when I first invested in a PEP

Peps started 36 years ago - Labour effectively changed the name to an ISA.

The PEP investment automatically became an ISA investment.

I was 18 when I saved a monthly amount into an investment trust.

My very big winners on individual shares that increased in value many fold have been Apple,Amazon,Bat, cls holdings and 3i group.

Made a lot of money on the first 4.

3i Group has increased 10 fold since my purchase (only one) but I had sold 75% of that purchase by the time the share price had reached a bit over £6
