The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Guys, maybe last night was the 1st of the 100k blocks that 'will' be getting sold at the end of each day. Dusterinmong has travelled back from next week in his Delorean to warn us.
Next up - "Guys, do you think IOG might go bust?? Great BOD though, I'm really bullish. ATB".
It's a shame pijoe1212 got banned - I miss him a lot.
I love the boring-ness of this share. Especially when you see the nonsense other shares see.
Good time to drill, understand jack up rates still soft.
Good time to get a drilling contractor tied down for the full development campaign really.
I sold all my shares when fully-funded Harvey moved from December to January. I mean, that's in a different YEAR for gawd sake.
Sort it out Mark Routh!
I'm still bullish though - in case you were wondering.
Hiding bad news on a Friday?
Bwahahahahahahaha.
d.e.s.p.e.r.a.t.i.o.n.
Maybe Blackrock selling those shares they've been buying in the background, hence keeping the price up and down at the same time? Or was it Goldman?
Damn, I've said too much.
Interesting to see the forward gas price curve in mid-2019 starting to move up - https://www.teletrader.com/natural-gas/index/details/tts-40897187. The loss of Rough and last winter's period of insanity with spot gas prices have created an interesting market.
With b/e of around 20-25p/therm... 30-40p/therm profit on 300BCF is quite tasty.... be funny of IOG get to their target of 1TF, then the numbers get a little silly.
Ignoring that though - 10p on Monday. The horror :(
Trustatrade - with this mental prolonged self-off we're currently in the midst off, I might need to readjust by prediction to 5p by tomorrow.
When will this end?!?!??! :(
We'll be lucky to be above 10p tomorrow at this rate.
:(
Spike - you're watching an operator in action here. Time to sit back and learn. Scully - let us know when you've bought in, I'm following your lead here as you've opened my eyes. It's not often we get to witness someone at this level in the 'flesh', have you considered writing a book? "the devil is is the detail - my memoirs" by Scully12345.
C'mon Scully - it's not hard. Next month, what's your prediction of events, given your insight into events?
It's good to be able to learn from people like you.
Scully old chap. How about you tell us what you think is going to happen here over the next few weeks, given your insights into the situation?
Then we can look back and see who was able to glean the most accurate picture out of the data at hand.
What I think will happen:
1) Exclusivity period will lapse.
Then
2) nothing.
The floor is yours.
Hahaha.
Sarcasm is tricky across the Web I suppose!
You guys don't understand.
The simple fact that you're all missing is that the major hasn't specifically ended the exclusivity period immediately as part of their notice. They are letting it run until the end of the existing contractual terms.
Only a crack legal & business mind like Scully can decipher this devilish move as what it really is, a precursor by said major to actually make a deal. This RNS has been released to let everyone's friends and families buy cheap shares so everyone can become very rich. Because that's how major oil companies do business.
Makes perfect sense when you think about it.
Lol.
Maltloaf - I'd reckon that BPC have a good understanding re. what's within and outwith the boundaries of what's confidential. Clearly notice to not extend exclusivity it outside.
Excellent balanced post bongabob thanks.
I quote - "So you think the ceasation of the exclusivity agreement is market sensitive information but you don't think the major walking away from the deal is market information lol?"
There is no "deal" for any major to "walk away from" that would require the company to release anything on to the market.
You understand...? Please say you understand? For everyone's sanity.
LOL
Sorry, I forgot to add:
LOL
Scully - I'll help you out as you're struggling a bit with the legalities of business I think.
There is no "deal" for BPC to mention in an RNS as having been called off. There has never been a "deal" for BPC to mention in an RNS.
There was an exclusivity period within which a deal may or may not have been reached. That period is now ending, at the discretion of the major, and an RNS has been released to the market confirming.
You do understand that BPC have never had a "deal" with the major...... right?
