RR: Has this come from your discussions with the Nomad or what you believe to be the case ?
Who knows we may even get a conclusion pre Feb 1st maybe even next week fingers crossed
I for one would be disappointed if that happened and don't believe it will.
I wonder if he knows whether the deal is actually going to conclude anytime soon?
Surely we would not allow a scenario like Chad to happen again we must have some assurances that SS Gov will approve the deal. Maybe we will do a JV with the gov for the share where we somehow ceding a percentage each year over a fixed period (just a thought )
Spreadex have probably taken the decision that their risk exposure to this particular share has been exceeded due to the amount of long positions by their clients.
We were initially told Clinical Trials beginning end of 2023 so i seriously doubt these get pushed back until Mar/Apr, firstly we would need more funds so would hope timelines for re submission, lifting of CL and approval all come within a 20-45 day window from now .
Surely data has been being compiled as we go along here so is it not a matter of running proper eyes over everything (literlly days) and re submitting or is it not that simple ?
Now the pipeline is near completion is it possible we may seek a partner for couple hundred million reducing our exposure and debt, and therfore releasing some value at the same time. ?
TIL: You would like to think so . Hoping for trading update 2/3rd week Jan , AD doc fri 26th , trade mon 29th, with fingers and toes tightly crossed.
Naira fell to new low on friday and decline expected to continue throughout 2024.
Need debt restructure announced asap..
Absolutely
That was meant to read especially without a SS deal, apologies
Good find TIL, yes lets hope Save are already ahead of the game on this with required equipment already in Benin just waiting to be moved to site progression here is very important in my view as it hasn't been reflected in the share price now for years but with the coup happening during suspension there would be a negative impact on SP especially with a SS deal.
Lets hope we get an early Jan update on Progress on Nigeria, now Niger followed by ad doc admission with SS complete.
Well thats my 2024 wishlist.
RR it would be nice but not sure achievable, with AK being a finance man would have thought he would have had this over the line by now.
Cheers TIL, read an article last week that the refinery was doing its final testing and will be in production in a matter of weeks. This in time will also have a positive impact of in country fuel prices and stability of the Naira.
When we get FDA (fingers crossed) what are peoples thoughts about timeline of licensing/funding. will it be pre trials , during trials or upon successful completion of trials ?
Sadly TIL, we as a company are not in a position yet where perceived asset value is reflected in share price due to the risk jurisrtitions we work and that will contine until we creat cash.
TIL: I think we are all with you on that.
RR i agree the conditions surrounding the debt for SS deal have changed significantly, SS war , significantly higher interest rates, if fundraise through shares at say 25p every £100m would be 400m extra shares (i for one do not want significant further dilution). I would like to see final payment being no more than £5-600m and Petronas being part of the debt structure with certain covenants in place.
