My take is that these are new machines to Argo, but they maybe already belong to someone else (ie not bought direct from manufacturer bitmain) and they are being housed in the Core Scientific premises near Seattle. We already house some antminers there after a link-up last November. Hey maybe they are Core Scientific's own machines, I don't know. All of that is just my take based on nothing but gut.

Love the optimism, they'll almost certainly gap us up for the 4th straight day but we'll probably then gap them down for the fourth straight day in the afternoon unless bitcoin gives us a bump start between now and then.... they loathe our market, it's fair to say!

Peter said in his Proactive video that the equity raise would pay for 6,800 new rigs in Q1/Q2.... now I personally am not sure they are likely to be brand new antminers from bitmain - if they were I'm sure we'd have said so... I personally suspect someone else's theory about new tech from a connected company might be right, or inheriting dated miners from a partner.

Anyway, let's pretend they are new... I know prices have gone up due to supply and demand but even if they paid $3,500 per unit, which I doubt we would, that would still leave nearly £5.5m with which to pay our running costs this year.

They have gapped us up every day this week.... I expect tomorrow will be no different.

I'm as calm as could reasonably be expected on a day like today, I'm filling myself with the thought of the savage satisfaction I'll feel on the day when bitcoin goes parabolic and a lot of the posters in here have to sit in silence and watch it. Knowing sadly of course they won't be silent, they'll have miraculously chucked in $50k at rock bottom and will have made more than I ever would blah blah. Got to try and not let it get to me. It's annoying though when you have to trawl through six pages to find the four posts worth reading.... it's kinda the reason I avoided BBs until recently. Nevermind. Onwards and upwards.

The Chinese New Year is definitely a factor, we're also due a big retest before the next leg.... none of this was unexpected TTD, just kicking myself for topping up on Monday rather than waiting for the carnage to properly take hold.

LSE is a fully stocked bar, you’ve got your steady-eddy stock lagers and ales on tap, you’ve got your more exotic bottled IPAs and stouts (precious metals etc), your mainstream spirits (pharma stocks) and then you have the strange bottle of unopened clear liquid at the back of the top shelf which is Argo Blockchain.

There’s no mixer, there’s no ice, you don’t sip it, you sling it back in one go, grimace, screw your eyes up, then let the euphoria wash over you! Then you do it again, knowing what you’re letting yourself in for because it’s worth it.

We’re at the eyes screwed shut phase....

Some people prefer beer and that’s absolutely ok, just don’t tell the rest of us what we should be drinking.

I'm internally hoping next week is a polar opposite of this one and we are getting dragged up in a bitcoin slipstream so fast nobody can figure out what's going on. Time will tell though.

I did touch on this the other day. The numbers don't add up, to me. £22.4 on machines would do way more than double our hashrate. Now I know the demand for rigs mean the price is rocketing but I still think anything up to half this money is going in the bank to pay the bills for the year meaning we can HODL all these $33k coins and sell them for $275k in December - hopefully! This is obviously fag packet maths and I'd love someone to work out the actual amounts so I don't have to haha

I’m not convinced we get there.... reckon we push further down here but not sure we get back to 30k again.... and certainly not if we then shoot off to 44k...

If anyone hasn’t yet, go and look at the daily charts for bitcoin and Argo and then tell us again that it’s the placing shares hitting the market (when they’re not even hitting the market!)

Yes although I’m increasingly thinking this is the final bitcoin dip before takeoff ... when it stops this time I think we get the hard bounce towards ATH.... certainly hoping so

Anyone thinking de-listing from the LSE and its MMs is a good idea yet?! We will have gapped them down every day this week whereas they have gapped us up on half the trading days in the past two weeks!
