That's actually why I went there.... before I came here... I kind of look at this as a job at the moment so trying to answer questions and spread the word over there was an investment in my own future as much as anything! :)

It's a very tricky comparison to make, in truth, because they can just slap a 250m placing in and waltz out and buy 4800 bitcoin at 31k.... the gap between us will be magnified for a while simply due to the difference between a 172 coin purchase and that whopper.

Forecasting the actual mining rate in 2021 amid such a bull run is very tough because it all depends on the price rise when compared against the incremental difficulty rises every fortnight.... Rookie is the man for the figures, I just rely on gut and I can tell you now I think anything over 1k coins mined this year for us would be an incredible achievement. Not sure what are plans are for Zec going forward... we've traditionally converted that to btc but not sure if that will necessarily continue or if they will hold that for a while or indeed sell to add to cash flexibility.... I suspect we'll know much more on all this by end of this week, after OTC podcast and the twitter Q&A.

Microchip component shortage is as much an issue for Mara as Bitmain backlog... they have a deal with Bitmain so they'll be top of the list I'm sure, but there are components beyond bitmain's control too.

Yes but maybe, maybe those people sold because they were spooked by an unexplained price drop, or perturbed by a failure to rise on good news, or because they did not trust the SP would be allowed to rise after seeing so many people say how undervalued it is.... no the MMs didn't click the sell button for them, but they created the situation where they wanted to... (yes of course, some organic slicing and profit taking is a huge part of it too I'm sure!)

Haven't done the sums tonight but I reckon it's still true that we've actually grown our SP by a higher % than they have since November 2.... I know I say this a lot but its pretty damn incredible, I think.

Oh lord I hate it enough for both of us then.... let's hope so.... March 20 FTSE250 uplist fills me with some hope if we really do ditch the current MM structure that way...
