Judging by the number & low value of trades I think this is drifting a bit on low volumes

I've no idea how this will pan out, but my gut feeling is we won't see the MRE before news of what Newmont wish to do.

If we hear that Newmont wish to divest, I don't think the MRE will appear this quarter. However If they wish to put an offer in for Hav or GGP, it'll drop pretty sharpy after that....

Just speculating, obvs.

It started looking promising, then about 100Ks worth of sells stopped the momentum.....I think GGG said that he felt there was a background seller - I am in agreement. I just don't get these huge sells in this high gold market & positive outlook.

If the price of gold goes up to that $3000 then you'll even be able to make some serious money from the slightly shiney gravel that's coming out of it.

I would add that they've been buying up every promising postcode in the vicinity, much like the first fifteen minutes of a monopoly game - so ('in my view' of course) I believe the ambition here is huge and doesn't involve selling Havieron the 'launch' project. Sticking persistently and unapologetically with the monopoly analogy, lets hope that we hold onto Mayfair, pass go and win a beauty contest. Okay so that bit didn't work but you know what I mean.

Hello massive gold companies. I expect you're yet again trawling through the messages on LSE so can I just point out that Shanta are currently oozing gold out of their low cost mines and metaphorically printing money. I'm not sure how you haven't noticed so I thought I would spell it out.

Please buy out the company for 32p per share - it'll be worth your while. If you can't do that, at least put an offer in to start a bidding war. Thank you in advance for your time. And offer.

Well what a weird day.

It doesn't matter loftmonkey as don't forget they're mothballing Havieron anyway, and all the other worst case scenarios are happening too, simultaneously. The gold has started to rot it's taken so long to get there, the copper won't conduct electricity anymore as it's soaked by all that water in the mine OH MY GOD whatever next - ARRGH the end is nigh.

Hi Birdsew, you may well be correct but I feel personally that for a PI, the timescale almost helps. I am not one who can chuck in thousands at a time, so building a holding over time suits me. The main thing is having confidence in the end game, and that they are going to achieve what they set out to do. Judging by the efforts that have been undertaken to get through all the environmental permits, it has given me confidence to trust that they can now get the deals in place and start making some serious money. This is only just finally starting ( for both plants really ) - despite the time it's taken to get this far. We now need to see a build up of production over time and a build up of offtake deal, but I'm hugely encouraged.

All in my view of course.

Ginger, while we're being suspicious - I must admit it crossed my mind that if some were aware of a "Havieron Update" RNS without knowledge of the content, it would be possible they could think it an MRE update and chance it by going in heavy yesterday....

Meanwhile back away from my conspiracy theory, I'm with the poster who said it's back to adding again for the time being....
