RE: SP commentary Monte6 Nov 2025 22:47
Level 2 definitely has value if you are intending to trade imminently but I do agree that commenting on delayed trades when they pop up really doesn't hold any material value; its retrospective. Price is price, regardless of what traded an hour, or a day ago. It's like reading a week old paper at breakfast today; the world has moved on.
I do use live trades when entering or exiting a position to gauge a turn or shifting momentum but that's only what is live.
A prime example would be the 700k ish GBP (from memory) trade that went thru around 70p a few weeks back that got a lot of attention- was it a buy, was it a sell? It doesn't really matter, we're at 50p now. We convinced ourselves it was a buy based on the price tag but it pretty much called the top (apart from the bizarre pump) & had all the traits of MKA's equivalent of a dark pool. A monster trade at a pivotal level, which usually results in a reversal of trend.
I've also only ever lost money fighting a market because the 'mm's were up to their tricks'. The market is always right, regardless of what your oppinion is or the causation. I'm disapointed to see it down here too but I don't care why it's here, macro or mm games - we're here. Given the general market sentiment & other rare earth stock movements I think you give the mm's to much credit.
