The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
They didn't send it off for grade assaying, they sent it off to validate their process flowsheet to prove that their pilot plant has a valid process. The END PRODUCT of this process was a gold concentrate of 20.7 g/t. The input material (ore from the mine) is significantly lower concentration.
A lot of people not understanding today's RNS and confusing the concentration of the processed, concentrated product as in-situ mine grade. Gold ore is processed into gold concentrate at an early stage to save costs further down the line in terms of material transport. The end-product of this processing was 20.7g/t, not the material that was initially sent. The drill results are still the best indicators of in-situ grade.
That being said, it's still good news and bodes well for the bulk sample processing, but the comparisons of 20 g/t with in-situ grades of other mines are misleading.
Very hard to buy on the drop but could sell every time. Averaged down nicely.
Negotiated trade - means there isn't stock available to buy in this instance. Conversely there's no one to buy your stock if you're getting NT trying to sell.
Its done based on the displayed bid / ask. Nothing more. I would not get worked up what colour the trades are - dont think it has any effect on what way the sp goes...
Agreed looks cheap - taken some today. Aim to scale in further profits from elsewhere over time.
I'm just amassing my stake here so I don't really agree with the initial thread. A lot of contradiction in the over statement. This is the time to buy when the stock price is suppressed due to selling pressure and lack of recent communication. Buy low sell high. Don't buy high...I've been in AVCT from 15.4p well before any Covid related announcement so am more than comfortable holding a position that isnt be showered in updates.
Very easy to spot who's selling this morning - you just have to look at the horrible odd number of shares 95% of trades have been at so far...
looks like the opportunity is gone now....ask rising nicely.
can buy or sell as much as i want - spread is 0.1 narrower each way. All trades showing are buys FYI.
"Next year" and no.
Agreed, very useful, thank you. I am slightly under researched here but took a healthy chunk at 51.5p few weeks back. Took some more 5p later when some more cash freed up. JSE very much under the radar at the moment but I'm sure results will put this on the radar of many. Got to remember they are still looking for inorganic growth as set out in their Divi declaration RNS. We know how the market reacts to value accretive deals when their least expected.
Very quiet on this board. Expecting things to liven up a bit given the cash generation and potential growth opportunities JSE could get involved in given their strong balance sheet. Anyone got any ideas what we might see next?
First bought in here at 9.4p back in 2018. Ridden the many peaks and troughs, made plenty money along the way but still holding a fair chunk. I believe this will cement a new level for the sp. Where it goes tomorrow is anyones guess but I imagine we will be tackling 35p as a first leg up.
Spoken to a few geologists about the 3 well program. Their opinion is that the pilot well was the riskiest of all 3 wells due to the small sand package. A3 has gas responses on seismic which the pilot did not and a much bigger predicted sand package. Serenity has the largest of them all, which dynamic contact data being matched to regional depletion. Those willing to be greedy when others are fearful might end up being the best move of 2019. I have re-added to my holding.
Quite impressive that they've walked the entire global stock market down just so that the family offices can take positions in ARCM at lower prices.
Laughable suggestion.
@Alfiegriggs1 - No, it makes no difference what they're reported as.
What was previously described as "the third hole" which we were awaiting assays for was actually CHDDE005, described today as hole 5. If you look at the first assay results RNS, the description of where it is located is the same as in today's RNS, and the map further confirms that.
It's just naming convention vs chronological timing, and is not an issue. CHDDE003 hasn't been drilled yet due to minor technical issues, as detailed in the SP Angel report, so it was never the hole being referred to previously by NvS.
What are your concerns Franco? Perhaps if you air them rather than just blindly panicking then we can help with your worries.

"This is the proximity of Cheyeza East to First Quantum's (TSE:FM) Sentinel Mine. It's 35km away from their processing facilities.
First Quantum Minerals are a US$5.8bn company.
If any of the Zamsort prospects are reasonably sized, FQM will be extremely interested."
Picture is in Tweet which shows the scale of the Sentinel Copper Mine and how close the Zamsort license is. FQM will be all over this if it keeps going the way it is.
