Adam Davidson, CEO of Trident Royalties, discusses offtake milestones and catalysts to boost FY24. Watch the video here.
Bottoms up for a better week as we approach the rear end of it. Plenty of scope for improvement as we analyse with less tunnel vision looking forward:)
The crux of fully reopening lies in the number of hospital admissions prior to a decision for 21st June!! Only a huge push on surge testing will prevent this until the U.K. population is vaccinated. Also the scientific evidence that the latest variants are not life threading post dual vaccination. The problem or should I say worry with people I know is the long COVID threats!! I hear stats of 1 in 10 infections are long COVID which if so is rather high. This i itself could be a future burden to health resources. Things are pretty quiet on this subject but as time prevails numbers will come to light. Another reason we need to get gold standard tests in all areas!! NCYT have a big part in this as a gold standard company.
Your right, only the government investing more in U.K. will prove this wrong!! Not heard of many disputes over China contracts!!! I’m showing signs of despondency I think so to be positive will hold faith here.
@karen, thank you, yes I wise move your son not staying in the congestion . House to house makes more sense to alleviate risk of transmission in mass ques!!
It would obviously have been good to find out if the PCR test was Novacyt but suspect many areas soon will be getting NCYT support in variant recognition testing for B16172 or is it now classed APR02 variant? Regardless we have a big part to play going forward. I would say I’m happy to hold but wish I too had sold at 12 and bought back at these levels. Hindsight’s a wonderful thing but so will another 12SP in the not too distant future. I too believe this will come and will need to assess a hold or sell at that point depending on the situation mainly the expansions overseas which could bring much higher revenues!!
This is a reminder to the world of the need for mass testing for normality.

@wishiknew2020, thanks for info, not the news I was hoping for. I have no idea why an operational update cannot be delivered on progress prior to financials but this board is the best way to find what’s going on otherwise. If Novacyt are under NDC they can still disclose non DHSC updates on progress in USA etc?
Ref the China influx of tests history repeating itself in a sense. I remember the coal strikes under Scargill. Due to disputes Thatcher announced it was cheaper to buy from China!! This time it strangles U.K. testing companies to some degree.
ODX I presume like NCYT are a little stuck until volumes of Chinese products are dissipated, just a hunch as we seem stuck in the mud and shorters can milk the hold up. Probably wrong but despite DHSC dispute it’s not helping matters!!!

Over 180,000 additional PCR tests deployed.
Are they ours?
Ad4you, thank you for posting, I was not aware of this. I can only assume the rise in black fungus cases is due mainly to a degeneration of the lung and respiratory system following COVID 19 recovery.
The fungus is common and during normal times (non COVID) this affects few people. So due to infected COVID patients this common fungus is preying on weaker immune systems!!
Keep an eye on this one!! Could it break out here?
If the mask is 100% safe for 7 hours it can be used for 7 hours. No argument there so if they use this mask it’s not one mask per patient. Simple. Just shows how crap the other masks are!!
Eeh by eck that’s not good!! Be careful all and have a good weekend.
@bluelight, it’s just a case of top up if you have spare funds or sit it out a few days. I’m baffled too but like you say Aim is not logical. Sooner GM delivers his ambition of mid cap status then the ship will steady. This ship has a growing R&D base, growing number of crew, growing cash etc. Is it a good time to be in this stock? Damn right just look at the news!! Still in the thick of uncertainty around the world and until everyone is vaccinated this cycle will continue. It’s down to Novacyt and other testing concerns including vaccine developers to beat this!! Unfortunately for normal life returning this will take time. It doesn’t help matters the way border control is lacking an effective plan to seal off further intrusion from overseas, work in progress hopefully or we will not get this damn infectious virus beat!!
Meanwhile we have a huge market to devour with sales.
@porky, all I can suggest there is email all the details to the fca. I will telly you now you won’t get any joy. If you did half the government would be investigated. Never mind the square mile which is essentially a fortress for offshore dealings. Yes I’m a cynic at times and many times wish I was wrong but hey ho that’s what props up the economy from the thatcher era!
@ hassard, had to adjust the auto correct from at hassle lol.
My thoughts are unchanged, purely an update resolve is not reached yet. However GM has taken legal advice and that advice is strong case pro NCYT.
The dispute in all probability will be settled by mutual agreement before any court action is activated. Why do I say this? Because we are still doing a lot of business under the DHSC, NHS umbrella.
If there was a bitter dispute then sales would be affected as of now. They continue and my umbrella is up with this damn weather!! Sunshine please GM:)
The dispute was already priced in from April. GMs update is just to say no change yet apart from taking legal advice to strengthen the case ref contractual issue. The market has over reacted on a maybe and not a will be!! Strong case is good news to me imo.
@donotpanic, no the RNS does not state they are taking legal action at this time. It states they have taken legal advice to support dispute in contractual terms. So legal action may not materialise if Novacyt have a strong case. The RNS states a strong case not have a case. Strong in my opinion means Novacyt are advised they are clearly in the right here!!!
The way I read the RNS, it’s simple, resolve not happened yet and updating the market as such.
The RNS does NOT state legal action will be taken at this time. It states clearly that resolve has not been met yet but may. GM is stating he still has a strong case for resolve. Legal advice is just to support his communication with DHSC that Novacyt are not in the wrong in this case so please pay up!!
Meanwhile business continues with the DHSC and they need us now.
This could still be resolved soon without further action but as figures are close the market needed a statement of where things lie. Unchanged at present. Meanwhile the company growth continues.
DHSC is a fragmented organisation that even Matt C has little control so this can be expected in the bureaucracy of DHSC. Growth continues meanwhile.
Maybe Gm will buy all the stock back with his cash pile. I mean really, wtf? SP is still ludicrously low !!!
Basically, nothing has changed ref DHSC dispute. GM had to update the market as the cut off now has arrived to prepare the figures. This will be done now taking into account non payment from DHSC. It’s a heads up now to the market that they have to continue with figures as no resolve to meet the deadline.
Nothing has changed otherwise and still doing other business with DHSC.
Maybe Schapps stole the money for his rail chums :)
So GM says May have a material effect? Not Will. Ok so still time to resolve before publishing figures? Or the company have strong grounds to assert its contractual rights from legal advice. To assert does not necessarily mean court at this stage. It could if what May turns into what Will. I’m picking the bones from a very basic RNS !!!
