Wilson, thanks, then I would pose the same question in a similar manner regardless of company that provides the test.
New variant tracking and tracing followed by positive result isolation I’d ask this:-
When a new variant is lab identified, what is the emergency procedure to identify in the area of concern to contain spreading and what company would they use? Do they have emergency plans in place to offer contracts expediently with the company best able to adapt and supply tests for new variants at speed to contain outbreaks?
Thoughts peeps.
Kaeren, I presume this is a Novacyt panel of test developers and not a panel of government scientists?
I would ask the panel at what speed are the tests from Novacyt put to use once a variant is identified through laboratory identification? Do the government have an arrangement with Novacyt to put in place expediently a programme of testing in areas of outbreak before transmission becomes exponential? In other words to test trace and isolate through emergency contract testing awards for variants emerging that Novacyt can successfully identify expediently.
Kaeren, that’s good. However I look at Twitter links but do not use it personally.
The main question for me is when a land mark is achieved with a new development. Why are new products bunched into one RNS. Otherwise we could see a steady rise in market capital instead of creating a pump and dump, shorters paradise. Sales should also be drip fed via RNS which are of some substantial value or do we have to wait in the dark for year end accounts? Thanks Kaeren
Mactrader, agreed. A lot of company news seems to be tweeted rather than the official platform. This method must have reason but suppresses the true SP value. I can only assume that this method gets news out without the expense of individual RNS feeds?
It does deliver news but may also double up as a marketing platform to prospective customers. Still should be delivered by official means when product has sales surely!!!
The launch time for the variplex test to detect Indian variants is expected to be the week commencing 26th April!!
What test by which company identified these variants?
Number of Indian variants in the U.K. doubled in a week. Now over 400 cases.

Sunday more surge testing for South African and Brazilian variants in Tower Hamlets.
I’m sure the stability will return, at the moment seems to be too much play !!!
I think you will find it’s being played like an Irish fiddle!!! Should be on a steady climb after last RNS. IIs at play?
JP1959, I totally agree with your post. The company is not a one trick pony and still in the desert dehydrating ref Gyro and Cloud updates as well as mask update.
If our speculation becomes reality we will all know this before end of Q2. I think it was written a million a week for LFT Antigen tests? Alva could be the place it happens? I’d love to be right on this one but bear in mind I’m often wrong too!!
Mactrader, yes I agree hence I mentioned a partnership tie in as I think if we are to get a million antigen LFTs out end of Q2 then Alva plant have the production ability to help us out but also to increase rate if necessary. Take over would be too expensive, however ODX and NCYT do have connection history.
I think this is a possibility but it’s only my speculation due to following both stocks.
Wilson, I’ve been here over a year through all the highs and lows like your good self. I do look at the Twitter links and find it all fascinating. I mentioned last week I thought a partnership with ODX would be a logical move. Not sure about a takeover though!!!
My obvious questions to shorting on the markets is. Why is it allowed? If it was a case where the practice was halted. Would the markets be better off without it? Or is it necessary as it is a regular event. The more I look into it the more confusing it gets!!
Porky, also what makes the Sp even more bizarre is the fact that AVCT have 253.40 million shares compared to Novacyt having only 71 million? Going on for nearly 4 times as many!!
Porky, I understand shorting goes on a great deal on the stock markets but I’m quite green to the process!! Personally I think it’s unethical and not in the interests of growing company’s. For that reason I would never do it. I wouldn’t mind knowing properly how it’s done just so I can get my head around it. I’ve looked a bit into it and still don’t fully understand. I know someone can borrow shares they don’t own and then the rest is baffling!!!
I’ve always invested for the last twenty years or so for a share to rise and not the other way round.
Kaeren, the FUM was just my humour, however I’d like to see NCYT move more into non COVID products at some point. Nice riser this morning and long may they continue. Well done all holders I say:)
My guess is partner is ODX and the next aquisition is non COVID and is FUM;)
