George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Not my thing either! But 8.2 million views in two weeks by future Aston Owners. I’m not complaining. Brand will be everything as we approach the EV apocalypse and will be our differentiator.
Chris Harris driving the Vulcan for top gear is one of the top viewed Aston Martin videos on YouTube and that has 6million views… in 6 years.
Does not look like a good package at the moment granted. Low rake cars seem to be most effected by the aero changes. But it’s a very long season and the team will probably have a new aero package by race 3/4 to close the gap. We don’t know what the tyre degradation is yet for long runs for the teams, so who knows what the actual pecking order is.
My qualifying prediction:
Redbull
Mercedes
McLaren
Ferrari
Alpha Tauri
Aston Martin
Alfa Romeo
Alpine
Williams
Haas
Regarding the contractor losses. I’ve just seen elsewhere that they could be in part down to the new IR35 rules which were pushed back to April 2021 because of COVID.
Which would mean the company would have to give employment tax contributions on top of the fees paid to the contractor. These NICs would equate to and additional +13.5% expense for each contractor.
If contractors are a large proportion of the workforce then these extra contributions would be large.

Thanks C3PO! We already know the figures, we listened live :) We love the figures!
I think the problem you are having persuading us is you have no credibility and hide behind an anonymous persona. Maybe tell us a bit about yourself and your experience?
We are all ears :)
Hi Kev,
Aston Martin will add a mild-hybrid version of the DBX in the third quarter apparently (spy shots on the Facebook group). The new mild-hybrid engine is expected to be a six-cylinder turbocharged unit supplied by Mercedes' AMG performance division.
From what I understand full plugin electric DBX does not have a date on, but loosely speaking 2023/24 as I read between the lines.
Shame about BPC yesterday feel sorry for a lot of investors that had invested heavily. Took the punt on Cars recommendation and did my own research. Luckily I only had a very small investment there but believe everyone fully understood the risk reward situation. Very much a gamble, but a no brainer as the upside potential was huge! My investment is stuck in there as no point pulling it out as 212 trades notoriously slow at executing. I will wait and see what happens over the next few months and pull out if it can recover to 1p.
Not that this is worth knowing, but a little bit of insight.
Looking through Aston Martins live Facebook campaigns. They have been heavily pushing the entire range as of November 2020. I have been through the ad distribution based on Campaign landing pages and pulling information out of campaign URLs.
This seems to highlight that all running ads are focused at the Middle East (not surprising). With separate landing pages for Turkey & Israel. Campaigns were launched in October for DBX and November for the rest of the sportscast range.
