What happens next has nothing to do with consolidation...what happens next is impossible to ascertain, but we do know that mid-cap ambitions is clearly a realistic objective given the assets and resource COPL own. Afternoon all. Old stasi boy being quite the drama queen again. Having explained that COPL is not AIM , something you did not seem to know a few days ago. It may be pertinent at this point, to give you the head's up that you need to be a shareholder to vote in an AGM. Hope this helps.
Interesting what a small mcap and a JV announcement can do for a share price. COPL data absolutely dwarves the company in question. Mmmm......GLALTH

Morning all. I'm of the opinion that a name change is viewed as more of a priority than any potential future consolidation. I'm also of the mind that the future JV entity is driving this. Why? Headquartered in Calgary, yes, but other than that no 'Canadian' link, 'Overseas' - tenuous, forget Nigeria I say (wish they got shot of this on the website to be honest), it's all happening in Wyoming (3 assets), and Canada and the USA clearly have a significant land border, so 'overseas' is not an accurate reflection. More importantly, the JV partner, who may well be planning on an eventual takeover with COPLs consent, will want to brand and market the company moving forward, in a way that aligns appropriately to the green/environmental agenda (think carbon capture).
Anyway, the markets will react positively tomorrow, recent developments have shifted the mood music, and although some are paid to dispute and disrupt the case, we all know big things are happening behind the scenes, period.

Before you give it the 'madness, madness...and you are all nuts'....type approach, you might want to note that COPL is main market. Just saying. Hard to see anyone apportioning any integrity to your posts to be honest, but hey every little helps.

So the evening briefing of pavlovs dogs has concluded that ‘takeout’ as opposed to takeover is their best bet to spread fud…not very original, expect more tomorrow..lol

Hysterical indeed - spot on tuvok. Notice how pavlov's dogs got themselves organised and hammered the negatives for a good two hours following an early morning briefing. Perfect timing from AM on this one, Friday night of a bank holiday weekend, giving everyone time to absorb the magnitude of what is ahead. JV partner wants in with COPL (deal probably done), but wants II investment and a bit more gravitas to the overall share movement/holding. Markets will like this on Tuesday. Huge statement of intent, with some big buying already last week. Hope there's a few days trading before possible suspension, but really who cares, there will be plenty of news out before the 30th May, let the re-rate begin. GLALTH

Morning all. Didn't expect that so soon but the journey to mid-cap and greater II investment is now clearly laid out. IMO the complexities of a full takeover are also going to be further reduced by enabling these proposals at some point in the future. COPL have held in there, and have held on to their 3 significant assets, these are very attractive to larger companies. This all signposts an eventual takeover. Happy days. GLALTH
