With next week being the last full trading week of this year, I think we will see where the market believes this stock will go. I think as well it’s also apparent that perhaps not much is, if anything is priced in so hopefully good news will see us significantly higher now we are now. Just my personal thoughts but obviously bad news will still have a major negative impact but right now it’s a lottery is the way I see it. I just hope all the positive sentiment from the bake team and GST is rewarded with a license or two.

The 22nd of January will tie in to when the sandbox applicants are announced which is the 18th January.

Bake will be a big indicator of things to come. I really hope to see a lot in the interims on how that has done so far. Also to see if the new CEO has had much progress with Semnet

Sparky I think most would welcome an early interim report. But they aren’t known for being early so I’m not pinning my hopes. I do feel a longer more general interview would be wasted if it wasn’t next week as market activity before and in between Christmas is usually week.

Yes chaebol I agree that globally these timeframes seem to be the average. However GST is a lot smaller than these companies, this is either a bonus or the opposite. Ie there is a lot less turnover and so a lot less information to access, they would likely still need to apply the same standards but being a small business approval could be more straightforward, just speculation on my part.

I’m still not sure how the internet can actually fully determine how long it takes to get a license for mica in Lithuania as there is only one company who has one in Lithuania. That is all the data that this information can be based on, the rest is just speculation based on what the Lithuanian authorities believe the process takes, so could be more or less than the given timeframes. This isn’t like EMIs and sandboxes etc where there are lots of successful applications and rejected and market data to back up predictions. So far it can only be guess work based on the successful application of one company!

At this stage if they don’t have a winding down plan then they must be pretty confident in a positive result before the end of the year. If they were to leave it last minute they would never get users back. So I’m leaning on it pointing towards a successful application. But all just probabilities at the moment.

Without out the license it will significantly impact bakes ability to generate revenue in the EU, which is its largest revenue base. Unless the other parts of the business are doing expecitonal GST overall would be impacted by that unless they reduced thier costs (overheads maybe via headcount) to mitigate the impact of overall profitability. It’s not the be all and end all of the business if everything else is doing significantly better well but failure to obtain it before the 31st December (unless the BOL extend the deadline that is) would require bake to shut up shop in the EU.

It’s quite clear to me from bake telegram that they think MICA is nailed. Ferhat confirmed that the business has no wind down plan and so therefore are making no recommendations for other platforms for users to transfer their assets too. Which is very bold, so they must have huge confidence on a positive result before end of year as I read other VASPs over the past few weeks issuing warnings and recommendations to users regarding winding down.

This is the date I have in my head as well but this year I’ve got it wrong in my head more times than right.

The BoL only came back with questions regarding the holding company. Which were answered comprehensively so I’m assuming that the business operations of bake was all sufficiently addressed in their application. They answered those questions near the beginning of November and I would imagine a final response is due soon. The BoL clearly assessed the application quicker than 65 days to have come back with answers beginning of November so I’m personally hoping they will be ahead of schedule for the final decision.
