Pjt, that's a brilliant post
Avacta really need to challenged on the diagnostics purchases. It's forgivable for a blue chip company to buy and reliase it was a mistake as they can soak it up.
But for Avacta to use significant bond funds on dx when their main asset is tx is just wrong.
This company needs shaking up.
Dx businesses bought with share diluting bond. Only to be sold to fund the company.
Sounds a mess
There has to be more to this than we will ever find out. Cso leaves, cdo leaves. Look for a new cdo and doesn't happen, interim brouhht in but turns into r and d. Dose expansion removed., then re added.
It's just bonkers to think Avacta was at 135 in December. The CEO comes out with 'we are at the beginning of the value curve'. To me that says here we are and we will now start to ge rate some real worth in thos company. That statement doesn't imply over valued.
Only for a couple of months later to do a 50p placing. Either he was being disingenuous or he vastly misread the market. I probably suspect the latter.
I guess the value curve should start moving back up once the rex and placing shares hit the market on the 18th. Will be some churn.
Come on, Alan. Must be some good news
I for one am pleased that that existing holders didn't take up the full allocation as this shows the level of trust that now sits with Avacta. Whilst, in the knowledge they raised plenty of money from the firm placing so are in a position to hopefully monetise precision
It was oversubscribed if you include current holders and new holders trying to take part.
As new holders were excluded you can deduce that existing holders didn't take up the full. All stion of £6.8m. As the total raised was £5.4m
Until they show on the share register. It's hard to take seriously, doggy
It's going to be a curve, a value curve
They at supposed to hit the market today?
There should also be an RNS for the firm placement shares?
Icecool.
I am simply going by the GANNT chart in the note. But hope you are correct and that patients are dosed in phase 2 this year.
Questions like.
The CEO made the most ridiculous statement of 'we are the beginning of the value curve'.?
I suggest a lot more question Avacta
Calm down, Timster. Only asking. You have over 18000 posts. Probably mostly on Avacta. Good to be transparent? You do have form for posting people's personal details on this forum.
Interestingly, Timster didn't want to answer whether he was taking part and deflected to wyndrum. Bit weird, considering. But then there has been a core of die hard Avactarians abusing anyone that has questioned Avacta. It's so important to question investments.
You taking part timmy?
I haven't. I thought I was clever and topped up just below a pound. I would take part if I could as there will be some big money getting in at this level. So expecting a pretty decent bounce from this level.
However, Avacta have lost a hell of a lot of trust in the market. Let's see how big the european fund is that took part, that the CEO has bigged up. One would hope there is a tr1 for their stake.
Phase 2 indications selected. Q3 of this year.
Expansion cohorts leading into pivotal Phase 2 study. Q4 2024.
Selection of FINAL phase 2 indication. Q2 2025
Icecool. no need for absuse. I realise this is all very frustrating and clear as mud, but thats my take from what Turner Pope has presented on the GANNT chart.
Icecool. It's there in the GANNT chart.
I admire your optimism, icecool and maybe I am totally missing something. But in the turner pope note there is a big red arrow on the GANNT chart that says q4 24 - dose expansion phase FOLLOWED on by P2.
