Whilst everyone is dreaming of m and a and takeovers. I have a question a little closer to home.
Do Mr Smith and his trail blazing CFO now have to renogiate the terms of the bond with the share price crashing below the original deal price? Or is it just a case or allocating enough shares to pay back in the next instalment? By past instalments it's going to be around 7 million shares at this price. Not an insignificant amount of shares for one quarterly payment.
Or there is muted demand as the share has had the stuffing knocked out of it and sentiment has gone for now? Shareholders that have followed the company are rightly sceptical of Avacta's comms. I shouldn't think any of this bothers Mr Smith and the top management. Their remuneration isn't linked to share proce.
Pl75 dodgy
I also have concerns about the lack of volume since the new shares came onto the market last Tuesday. There is obviously going to be some churn for a while but I get the impression retail investors, and let's face it that's pretty much all Smith has have become very cautious of any news flow Avacta release.
That is not good and something Avacta communications need to sort out.
This is brilliant. But also, I find posts like this frustrating.
It seems the Science is fantastic. But Avacta's problem is the 'plc' side and being on AIM.
I just don't have faith in the CEO or his money advisors.
Hmm, this sounds like a question for a Vox interview.
Bella. Alan mentioned this in the Vox interview.
Precision can work with more toxic drugs.
I only hope he targets low hanging fruit first and doesn't mess this project up
Agreed, but it is unlikely to move the SP.
No one can agree whether the 2 weekly has even started yet? Screening started in December by Avacta said screening ongoing in Feb. 2 weekly is needed for the phase 2 or is it 1b? Lots of debate about whether it's phase 2 starting in q4 or phase 1b. Avacta's wording is Does expansion followed by phase 2. As usual clear as mud.
What annoys me is the targets avacta set are missed by months and sometimes years. And yet there's never any mention or comeback on why?
Gje. I think they were probably not screening in earnest in December. It was probably further off than the Avacta communications team wanted to make out. Avacta's use of languages in RNS'S is downright awful
Icecool, are you on another planet? Avacta released an RNS saying ava3396 will be in the clinic in 2023. They have form.
"a two-weekly dosing study, which is now screening patients with high FAP levels in the USA, will assist in optimising the schedule and dose for a Phase 2 study"
I take that as they are screening patients. The same as they said on December 13.
Surely you would say dosed if patients had been dosed.
Thanks Gracie, so 3 months on there has been no progress? I don't know how long screening takes.
And I just don't believe any projections made by Avacta.
That made me raise an eyebrow too.
Surely conifer have something to say about the way things have been run?
Has this even started yet? Or were they waiting for the fundraise to complete? They said they were screening patients early December? Is the consensus now that all news is secret squirrel for a while due to a US based investors taking part in the raise. But this of course could be fictional.
There has t been any TR1s so nobody has gone large on Avacta. Looks like will have to wait until the results day.
Dtw they also have 2 other trials in P1?
Avacta have been saying the will do the Ind for 3996 for years now.
To be fair market conditions are awful.
When money is incredibly tight at Avacta the unforgivable snafu by the CEO are recently splashing tens of millions on dx companies when every man and his dog knows tx is what matters at Avacta. Then due to having limited funds getting hammered by the market in this raise.
And even worse then spinning the notion he will sell of the dx companies so the company can carry on as a going corcern. Just a bonkers situation
Today
