Cytiva is also working with Avacta to develop and evaluate lateral flow test strips designed to detect the SARS-COV-2 Spike protein, using Avacta’s Affirmer® reagents.

If orders are of a decent size I can see the market cap of avacta around 2 bn sterling /£8 a share.

The government will have to pay what avacta feel gives them fair profit.

My thoughts.

Something investors should bear in mind is all profits from these tests are going to put into the the cancer treatments that avacta are developing.

Avacta already have an income pipeline of between 500 - 1bn dollars with daewoong.

It really will put the company in a wonderful position going forward.

Anyone have thoughts on the manufacturing capacity of these two companies for Avacta's LFD?

I am expecting between 6-8 million tests a month based on RNS's and reading the company websites.

I went on the GOV test website and they told me i had to take a test within 5 days of symptoms. There are no local testing centres available and only option postal. 2 days to get here, 3 days to process. None of it makes sense.

Theres some pretty well designed mops available these days. You put the water directly into the mop stick alleviating the need for a bucket.

Sparta, its unsurprising that people distrust big pharma. Look at the opoid crisis in the USA and spreading into the UK. Look at the price of basic healthcare and basic medicines.

I wouldnt blame many for distusting the big pharma vaccines and their effectiveness particularly if they are rushed out.

I should imagine it takes a lot of effort to make a litre of these affimers. Not just a case of mixing the raw material with a bit of COV-19 hoping for the best.

Why can't you aim a constant stream? If you've got enough saliva it's possible?
