I don't understand this talk of "the market makers will need to...". Do this do that.

Shares work on supply and demand. There's no major conspiracy with brokers. Yes, they may mark a share up or down on open depending on news.

But fundamentally a share price moves up and down on supply and demand. It may be manipulated by a trader having a large amount who has the volume to sell /buy in large amounts.
Don't ever think an investment isn't doing what you would like it to due to market makers. Majority of it is done electronically anyhow.

I do get the impression that Alastair is now being conservative with his timescales. I like the fact he mentioned there are discussions going on with Asian manufacturers. There is also press that Avacta are in discussions with Omega for additional manufacturing. Then add in that talk of a quick vaccine seems to be dimnishing.
