Well, who ever has taken the short out, they can burn next week when results are out, and they can use the coal from Thungela`s mine to do that.
Boyobach,
This strange behaviour of share price going up on ex dividend also happened last time, I now wait until it is ex, before I sell, if it happens, I not. nothing lost.
Well done GFG, patience has its virtues. I have spare ammunition, that will kick in below £23.
Ouch!
G - I wanted lower, however oil price is going up, so just went for it. I was tempted not to sell, but succumbed to no drop on ex. So it was a win win, with a profit of 30 extra shares and the dividend as well. So overall happy. I checked trade, noted it was listed as a sell, so makes me think we are given incorrect information.
Just bought back the shares I sold on ex dividend, 5030 at 2392.30. Trade is shown as a sale. so the information is a farce.
It`s the clown called Andrew Bailey whom is clueless. Out of his depth.
I am waiting to buy back the 30k I sold. Expecting it to drop a lot more yet.
GFG, Lol
I have been waiting since 2016, I have had a load more shares and dividend is below with a much lower amount. Trading is the only way you are going to make any money in this share. If the dividend was not cut, then the company would not have been seen as the villain when it puts it up albeit still below pre- Covid levels.
The media does not see that, just likes to kick fossil fuels, yet those t***ers probably drive gas guzzlers as the range on electric vehicles and the charging infrastructure is not sufficient.
22.99p divi payable. This needs a serious uplift, at this level there is no incentive to invest.
Terry,
Thank you for your wise input.
You say you closed your short around 540p, yet you are saying this could drop to 400p. Why did you not wait then until Monday?
Filled. I like gaps. When you sell, you then set yourself the gap as a target to buy back in.
Boyobach,
Let the good times roll.
Would you like some salt to go with the hat?
The driving season is upon us, the experts keep on saying there is going to be a shortfall in the market. This is the best ex dividend I have seen, no real drop.
If 700 shares says a lot, then you are mistaken.
700 shares is nothing.
It has only failed because you are on the wrong side of the trade.
I have also reinvested some of it, on a limit order of £6.94. It was executed at 6.931, so am happy with that. I have also placed a further limit order at £6.44, as you never know with this share.
Rang them up just now, they did not receive money until late yesterday, for it to be applied on the same day. You will see it in your account today.
I also have not received the dividend. I, too am with X-O. Normally very reliable.
Chevron and Exxon certainly helped.
