The price of Shell shares is dominated by the price of oil, as are their profits, and as it is measured in dollars the rate of exchange.

The price of oil has steadily fallen.

The debt levels have gone up, so any buybacks, are partly funded by debt.

I am holding a fair bit of cash, waiting for more dips, last time round, managed to pull nearly 55k out of LGEN.

It will drift down, more so until budget day, and really no point in holding as the divis are done and dusted until next year's final.

I sold a pile of Shell, needed to maintain a return as well as conserving cash, so that was the reason for purchase of these.

Have sold more Shell today, so increasing my dividend without spending anything.

Had sold the lot at 255, now starting to buy them back. 65250 shares bought back today.

I had been waiting for £30 since 2015. I have given up on that dream.

I have halved my position here, as there are warning signs that there may be a glut of oil going into 2026.

From here £30 is just another 10% rise, which can be easily made up, and a lot quicker in other shares.

Comes down, nearly as fast as it went up.

Depends how many you own and at what point you breakeven.

Personally I will sell 60% and ride the wave with the remainder. If they drop back, then buy them all back. Simples

GFG, You cannot go wrong with LGEN, in fact you double your income compared to Shell. I have a limit order to buy some LGEN, as I am currently short. They provided a great set of results, and a decent divi for an interim.

I only hold a handful amount of shares, however I invest large amounts, that way I can keep a close eye on them and trade some here and there.

Currently holding a lot of cash, ready to pounce.

Personally I am irritated by the fact that debt has increased again in the recent quarter by $1.7 billion. This is slowly creeping up and cannot continue, I sold 15% of my stock on results day.

If you read his postings, Aoendragon said he was short from the nineties.

He decides to tell us when we hit mid seventies, I would not trust a word he says, if he was short in the nineties, why did he not say at the time.
