Never understood the criticism that a director purchase is too small. Even if £10,000 is “paltry”, they aren’t likely to be in the business of throwing their own money away. Plus it isn’t like PI investment. Tony can’t sell for a 20% gain. He will realistically have to hold for a much much bigger rise. So it shows way Moreno confidence than your average day trader. All looks very positive to me.
Can't seem to get subscription to work but is ref to Kinshasa airport something new?

...Christmas one and all. Here's to a better 2021. I've stopped looking in here as regularly recently and its done wonders for my mental health, so switching off until the new year and going to spend the time eating my body weight in mince pies instead.
Oh I don't dispute that more votes will be cast this time round. I'm just noting that, even in circumstances like this, it is rare that a more than a relatively small % of shareholders will vote. A huge number of votes will be held by PIs with relatively small numbers of shares (less that 100,000 say (even if that might have been a big number 8 years ago!)) who will frankly be apathetic about voting (esp. if they don't know how to do so). That is why the board can probably be quite confident that the vote will carry.
I readily acknowledge that the other occasions are not direct comparables and 5p in 2016 is very different to 5p now. But I was here in 2016 (and well before that) and rued missing that opportunity and I believe we're one good update away from a bounce
Great little surprise. Phil will be along shortly to tell us that it is only for £1.8m but the main things are:
(i) No one saw it coming - evidencing that we are not just waiting for the known tenders; and
(ii) This is huge for WSG's profile domestically and internationally.
