Agreed Cameron, a steady ramp up leading to summer is how I see it to. Easy have been very proactive in doing the necessary restructuring and streamlining to ensure they maximise revenue over the coming months. 2022 is going to be a good year for the airlines imo.

Have a look at this time last year, full of the same comments. Have a look at Feb this year, full of people bemoaning the fact they got out too early. The world seems full of penny flippers right now and I get it, the crypto market isn’t for everyone, but for me it’s load up and be patient, at these prices I’m averaging down again, happy days!

Yeah i believe it is a value share avocet, these dips do offer great opportunities to open up or load up.

That is exceptionally good advice, unless of course you are taking advantage of the sale prices (imo) on offer.

One thing is for certain, calling PW names will have no effect whatsoever on the current sp, the entire space is taking a hammering at present and no amount of whinging will help there either.
You either take advantage of the cheap prices, hodl, or sell and be quiet…simple really.

@PantherPat, nobody is trying to convince anyone to act one way or another with this share greater than you are I’m afraid.
You talk of Easy like it’s the only airline with large levels of debt, the only airline that took a loss over the last year, the only airline who’s short term bookings/loads will be affected by the latest hysteria etc…….I think you need a better understanding of the sector as a whole, then perhaps you’ll be capable of a more balanced view on things. All airlines are cheap right now and may get cheaper short term, but if you’re holding medium/long who cares? Top up, average up/down, hold, do whatever. As long as you’re not selling you ain’t losing anything.

Whereas in my opinion aviation is ripe for investing in at the moment as the airlines are so cheap right now. We’ve already seen what they do when the “coast is clear” and I believe that the existing carriers will all make you money if you can buy and hold. Easy has made some decisive moves to streamline costs and maximise revenue, once the hysteria subsides we’ll enjoy the gains. (imo, dyor etc…)

@PantherPat, you mentioned the statement “Be ready for some steep losses if you're long.” I’m not sure that makes a lot of sense does it? How can you suffer losses if you’re long? A little bit immature.
I think we all can appreciate that with any airline, handling agent, ground ops services, or even the travel industry as a whole, you will see volatility all the while the government change their minds daily and the press dine out on sensationalist headlines. In my opinion Easy are as well placed as any to weather the storm and would certainly have been expecting bumps in the road this winter. Buy when it’s cheap, hold it, enjoy the returns when they come. If you can’t afford to, don’t buy it…simple.

What about other shares, might we see a dip there to? Bigger picture required by some…

Not concerned about “Low cost BA” at all. The unions already shut down the first attempt to create this, the second attempt will be of no consequence to Easy at all. BA is a horribly bloated legacy carrier who’s not capable of competing price wise at the low end of the market unless it’s like EOG used to be and that was a loss making feeder to its long haul service. BA have their place in the market and it’s not low cost ops.

At NorthS it’s a good question, if you don’t like it why bother with it? I’ll never eat squid no matter who else is! Not saying it’s bad for you, it’s just not my bag. GLA.

I really wouldn’t worry tbh, this doing no worse than any of the other miners today as we speak. Farms, Riot, Mara etc all taking a walloping as well. Best place to be is feet up with a beer if it makes you nervous.

Panther, will all due respect you really haven’t given me any solid case as to why this won’t perform. What you’ve given me is old numbers, something about the population in Europe and your opinion.
Like I said, everyone has an opinion and a positive attitude does not mean ramper.
I believe Easy have done exactly what needed to be done after a pretty terrible 18 months for the industry as a whole. Let’s not forget there is a lot of gaps to fill given the demise of TCX and FLYBE that’s yet to be realised given they fell just before/during the pandemic and that’s just in the UK, and having read the final results statement, I am very optimistic. But as I say, that’s my opinion and everyone must do their own research.

I think you are very misguided Panther but you have your opinion and that’s cool.
I don’t see “shameless ramping” on here as you call it, I see opinion (just like yours). People will make up there own mind whether to invest here or not and hopefully won’t do that exclusively on the back of some free, public bulletin board.
I happen to agree that buying in the 5’s represents excellent value right now, and my opinion is that a return to the 10’s is not unrealistic IF the path ahead becomes smoother and consumer confidence returns.
