I did my time in HK, then DIFC from ‘06 - ‘15 , now nicely ensconced back in the UK with my UK wife and kids having had a good experience. Saw plenty of your type, each to their own I guess, but I always felt a little sorry for the likes of you.

The unfortunate thing for you Chaebol is that I saw plenty of your type whilst in Hong Kong, small potatoes feeling grand because they support half the village in Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines or wherever they found someone to marry them. Most were humble and decent folk, there were some like yourself who felt like they’d conquered the world…they used to buy the drinks, they were good for that….Stormy Weathers and Joe Bananas were never so cheap when that lot were in town!
