Yes I suspect it was a Trading Style update which they historically have produced. We've never had a formal Half Year Report until March. So they've not issued a trading update this year as opposed to previous years.

Pure speculation that the results were delayed to allow an RNS to be issued.
Have looked back and the official "Half Year Reports" were issued..

I think people are getting confused with a trading update which was issued early feb in the last two years - Not the official Half Year Report.

There is no no delay on the issue of this years Half Year Results - unless it doesn't happen tomorrow!! as per the official published timetable which includes all the proposed financial announcements for this year. This is the first time I've seen a schedule of financial report publications which really should have been happening for years but at least now we have official dates on which to base "oh the results are delayed or not"

Renault Group announced in September its plans to integrate the digital ****pit into its Mégane E-Tech electric vehicle, but on Tuesday, the company shared plans to expand that collaboration to the entire suite of digital chassis platforms, including the connectivity platform and the Snapdragon Ride platform.
Volvo, Honda and Renault join the increasingly long list of Qualcomm Snapdragon customers, which seemed to have picked up in earnest around the time Qualcomm acquired automotive tech company Veoneer in October. Since then, Qualcomm has signed on around 40 OEMs, including BMW, GM, Hyundai, JiDu, Xpeng, NIO and WM, to integrate different Snapdragon platforms into their vehicles.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon is also enabling other companies building automotive infotainment centers to innovate. While most of Qualcomm’s clients are opting to enhance their ****pits and infotainment systems, the company might be most bullish on its Ride platform, a system-on-a-chip (SoC) that should provide a powerful enough processor to allow for many ADAS and automated driving functions. Veoneer’s Arriver self-driving software unit has only enhanced Ride, which has allowed it to compete directly with Nvidia’s Drive Orin SoC, which is already being used to develop similar functionalities with customers like Cruise, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Zoox and, most recently, TuSimple."

Even more important, however, is the requirement for clear communication between driver and vehicle as to the status of any automated technology, no matter how low on the SAE scale. Cadillac, for example, uses enormous lights embedded into the steering wheel that give very clear color-coded signals related to the operation of its Super Cruise feature. Volvo’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it icon is an order of magnitude less obvious, especially if your attention is focused on the road ahead.

It seems to be that electric cars are the future.
Most OEM's are now committed to moving away from petrol and diesel cars.
With the advent of EV's comes a new platform and a new design process.

With this comes developments for the future legislating on ADAS and driver safety.
The future has moved in DMS providers favour. The main players will all do well, some more than others.

Smart Eye today announced a design win with a new OEM customer. This increases the total number of OEM customers to 14 – increasing the distance to competitors.

The design win also means a new platform win, increasing the total number of won platform wins to 12. The new platform implies a total potential of SEK 550m. This potential in order value will be translated into revenue from mid-2024.

The new OEM customer is European and is one of the largest brands in a group of car manufacturers. To us, this can only mean either Stellantis or Volkswagen. As we have previously stated, Volkswagen always uses dual sourcing, and hence, this could be the second tranche of VW.

However, it can also be Stellantis, which is a major group of brands like Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, Opel, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, and Chrysler. If this were to be the case, we believe the brand to be Opel, Peugeot, or Citroën as it should be one of the largest ones, and also a European one.

Winning this first brand inside such a large group implies the potential to enter new brands within the same automotive group, implying a potential that stretches far beyond the SEK 550m potential on the platform.

However, as in the case with Volkswagen, large groups like these are likely to use dual sourcing, implying that more than one tier-1 will be used, though it’s not definitive that the other tier-1 won’t use Smart Eye’s DMS too.

In summary, this is very good news to Smart Eye and implies large revenue potential starting in mid-2024. Except for the large revenue potential, we believe this can turn the negative sentiment around.

Redeye reiterates its positive view on Smart Eye and maintains its valuation range.

Concept, yes that is quite correct. They expect that they will win more models in the particular oem, and Martin says it puts them in pole position to win other oem brands in the wider group, presumably when the other oems put out their RFQs and bidding commences.

Its always strange when they give a contract win and then say "if we win every model / platform etc with the OEM the potential could be worth x bn SEK."
Marketing between the two companies is clearly different.
Of course we don't know if SEE even bid for this contract but hopefully we announce big wins soon.
I of course don't hold shares in Seye or Cipia. So i may be biased towards SEE......

Bax, sounds like for your own health you should sell up and play a bit more golf. No point stressing yourself dealing in shares on AIM. It'll be better for your personal end game i would expect.

Lets see how contracts are split up over the next while to see what happens.

Decent contract are more important than titles, and VW, GM, Merc, BMW, Chrysler, Ford are a decent base. Just need some Japanese wins to help as well. But heading the right way.

The Ocean is the closest to market, scheduled to begin deliveries in November. There's a mystery model called the PEAR (Personal Electric Automotive Revolution), which Fisker will describe only as small, affordable, and unlike anything else.

The manufacturing of the vehicle—we need a solid manufacturing partner. We ended up with two: Magna Steyr to do the Ocean and Foxconn to do the PEAR. I'm going into a factory where people have worked together for 20 years, where they're currently running luxury vehicles. We are going to go on the same line where BMWs and Toyotas are being built by the same people. I mean, if that's not de-risking, I don't know what de-risking is. The quality of this car is, in my view, the most de-risked aspect of the entire program.

Whilst wins now will not get to SOP until 2024 there will be decent NRE paid I assume over the next couple of years. Not an insubstantial amount when you add up the size of the wins like the VW win.

I of course do not know how much but added together could add decent amounts added to everything else we know about (and probably things we dont).

Paul indeed made that point when talking about the graph on pipeline that the values are at production SOP and exclude NRE.
