The move to DMS/OMS is being driven by ADAS developments, legislative and safety reasons.
However the shift to electric cars is having a substantial and equally motivational drive.
EV's mean new designs, new power trains (obviously) so OEMs design in DMS/OMS functionalities as standard.

The i4 and iX are set to go on sale in the region (USA) during the first quarter of 2022.

China added overnight to auto. Our partners doing all the heavy lifting.

Plan is to prosecute the business won and the business we are about to win. (Read as won but we can't tell you yet).

Brought on more engineers, both directly and indirectly (through our partners).

Winning more significant contracts brings in more NRE. Nobody has factored that in as we dont know how much it is per annum for each contract.

This is a remarkable win for SEE. Small value but this is comparable to the first Trucks on the road with SEE tech inside.
Trucks got to 8Bn Km and the learning and data collection is second to none.
The same will be said of this development - SEE will be able to point to real life situations providing critical data (in stressful situations) and the learning will be immense.
This data outside a SIM will be invaluable as a reference for other avaiation OEMS.

FWIW i agree chip shortage wont affect us in 2023 onwards. Watched CNBC and they are saying all auto OEMs are now multi sourcing and storing chips, as nobody wants to get caught out again.

SEE have hit 250k units when the chip issue was at its worst because oems are using what they have for the new models, which is great for us.

I do think people are completely underestimating the value of being included in the Qualcomm stack.
Certainly speed to SOP is changing with the increasing move to EVs and production needs to be quicker. OEMs now seem to be looking towards 2-3 years min as opposed to 3-5.

Magna have even produced an EV truck which they will not sell to the market but will sell the tech to oems and then Magna will make the trucks for them. Speed to market...

Paul stated that QC potential was extra to our current won business and the current RFQs.
So the 95 models from A$325M exclude QC. I expect Snap4 and Snap Ride will be the start and possibly RFQs issued this year to be joint efforts. Of course there are the 16 T1 partners as well to consider.

So in summary,

We have 9+ models at SOP out of a total of 39 expected by lets say mid 2023.
But remember this 39 is out of a total of 95 models won so far based on INITIAL won models.

And these 95 models are only from the A$325m pipeline won!
