George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
I was very turned off by the prospect of DCU but stock purchases by Ophorst Van Marwijk Kooy Vermogensbeheer N.V cause me to wonder whether they had confidence that Prax manage HUR that ensured it produced the results that crossed threshold to pay DCU etc. Obviously Prax could reorganise HUR that would incur costs or delays in short term 1-2 years but longterm benefits . From memory at least one of capped wells produced about 9k bopd but considered uneconomic at the time. If you look at State Oil company accounts it seems an unusual company. However Ophorst Van Marwijk Kooy Vermogensbeheer N.V makes CA look like a minnow. They either expect Prax to perform or else then intend to vote no. I wish all LTH best of luck.
It is logical to say they will have done deep research before such heavy investment at this stage. Thinking outside the box, is it beyond the realms of possibility that they could have a company interested to take over Prax (State Oil Ltd) and reverse in Hur Plc ? Upstream and downstream ! +
I hope Adouble's soul is Resting In Peace after the turmoil of Hur which may have been a great contributor to his passing. The departure or more like 'evaporation' of Alistair S should have been a red flag to us all. I think principle made him depart and I am sure he is more satisfied in farming.
It is nice AD mentioned.
Thank you to all those who provided info.
Wish everyone best of luck.
This may be my fault but I have received nothing regarding HUR from Jarvis since 13 January. Is that the situation for everyone.
Are proxies relevant for meeting tomorrow or am I showing evidence of being ignorant and lost ? !
There was a huge loss of German customers last year.. Looking at Trustpilot and similar reviews, it grieves me to say there may be loss of UK customers this year. Anyone remember when it was 220 and tipped by leading brokers .
Yes Robert Trice seems to have vanished like the billions of barrels. Alistair Stobie who made an early exit seems to have taken up farming no, not farm-in or out ! Farm where moo, moo's live and the big green tractor goes..
Is it fair to say that Senseman played a major part with others to fight against HUR being taken from shareholders for the sum of: virtaully zero per share ?
I think the anwer is YES. What do others think.
Though relative to others I have an insignificant holding. I would contribute to a GoFund and maybe still have a little something for the homeless
.
Thank you Sense, for such a definite submission and of course thanks to the principled source. I think the Jan 20 statement destroyed the trust in Hurricane especially for potential partners. Pity because if Hur had been more transparent there would never have been such a write down of the resources; most likely would have done much better with others keen to invest. Instead the company was left to coast into the hands of others but for the actions of CA and people such as yourself and other PIs.
Yet more correction ! my post was 9 December 17.11. -- (not wise to finishe the bottle of Vino !)
Apologies and correction: The post I added should have read "but in Ukraine ....." Sorry about that.
However what really irks me is that on 29 January 2020 when share had dropped to 21p Robert Trice stated:
"We note the recent weakness in the Company's share price and I can confirm that we are not aware of any subsurface, operational or commercial reasons that would have caused such decline". Looking back someone knew different because shares dropped to 17p and Finance Director Alistair Stobie resigned on 27 February 2020. In view of what subsequently happened could RT's statement represent the company's true situation.
Dreams and nightmare. Anyone remember when experts were saying shares at 60p were totally undervalued (sought after lighter oil etc) have endured the nightmare till now. Our investments wiped out but unfortunately thousands of people have had everthing including losing their life and family. Wish everyone on here the very best over the coming season.
The cost of accident repairs has risen sharply to an unforeseen level. On the one hand previously written 3yr fixed price insurance and on the other hand unlimited increases in repair costs: is this an upcoming problem ?
Missdosh, remembering Adoubleuk is so thoughtful. Thank you for reminding us. I am grateful for the contributions he made on here. At least he was fortunate to 'cross paths' with you. You are a cut above.
Thank you for bringing Adouble to mind of LTH (56p). I really appreciated his input and acknowledged that at the time. Its ironic that I probably would have sold out long ago but for him yet he wisely did (but for the few he retained) . He gave clarity to technical issues and was like a steady hand. It restores my faith when I see that there are people who do not just use people and then forget, thank you for remembering.
I have only myself to blame for losses though I am sore about reassurance given when share first dropped to 20p. ie "no known surface, subsea or other issues to justify drop" (quote from memory, so may not be exact), I bought more because of that reassurance :-((.
I would like to thank you for you posts in the past they were very informative but succinct.
Any long term holders see any hope or sense in those current major Broker rating above 200 (Deutsche 230 ! ) Will this come good or is this another BT or worse . Even BT would be a whole lot more successful without the pension debt.
I think I change my screen name to Despondent :-((
Long term hurt from 2.34 Any opinion from optimists or pessimists welcome,
I think the suffix to his name is appropriate. So sad that he has passed before he could see if the technical opinion he so often gave ultimately proves correct. Thank you to MissDosh for info. It would be nice to see your name cropping up more often on the board. Really miss your name appearing as it once did.
Dflynch,
Excellent idea about publicity.
Without it this get no lineage but what is needed is some hook line or tag.
That has to be generated.
All hope is on CA. PIs can email all they like and just fill CA mail box what I suggested a month ago was the mad idea of shareholders sending a letter with £10 or any figure decided to CA to show support and copying that letter/email to all on media. Lets face most people have thrown away money here anyway so another small sum will at least give satisfaction. All done on same day or weekend so that the press get a lot of emails about it on same couple of days. That might just catch the eye of the press and it takes off. Waste of time if only 10 people do, It needs a lot more.
So perhaps you could put you mind to something like that.
Wish everyone the best
I agree efforts to influence judge with emails will not even achieve publicity. Publicity brings about interest and perhaps change. I have suggested before that everyone makes a donation however small, as they say, to Chrystal Amber and email the press and other agencies that you have done so. Because it is so mad it could really hit social media and grow. Alternatively if any influencers are online perhaps get twitter active. Nothing much happens with publicity. Better ideas welcome !!
