I think that it was partly determined by the price that the MMs set on open - it was barely different, if at all.

And the medium-term trend does not seem to encourage a fast rise (yet), based on a very very quick look at a candlestick chart.

After some weird (large) trades this AM, buys are clearly coming in...

I don't know of any PI (except a reach or connected one) able to have a buy order processed after close. It's institutional investors who get that service.

GBP 17.10k is not a lot in the grand scheme of things, but it suggests someone thinks Ascent may rise back soon.

It's all very speculative of course.

Maybe the debt providers gave Debs a frequent customer discount?...

50.1% belief it's a buy.

Admittedly, IF there had not been the 2.128m sell at 0.28p an hour before, I'd have confidently said it were a sell.

But only 50.1% - i.e. I'm still very uncertain.

At least, the fact that this sell was at 0.28p gives more weight to the argument that the 5m trade of earlier this PM was a buy...

...let's see if more buys will sneak in on the back of it.

If the 5m share trade were a sell, the 845,661 (if a buy) would be for a higher SP too... ;-)

This is just a weird SP and the MMs' system is messing with us.

The [insert 1/4 of how much money you have lost on AST here] question is how far up is it going to up to though?...

I don't know if it was a buy or a sell, the SP is too weird and the bid/ask hasn't moved a bit following that trade...

But it's worth keeping an eye on the trade pattern from now on though methinks.

Bradis, with all due respect, you should know by now that for large ADVERTISED spreads, the real SP offered for buys / sells can sometimes be all above or all below the median ADVERTISED SP.

I.e. buys and sells can effectively be both above the media advertised price, or be both below.

So it's never 100% sure what trades are buys and sells, and it's only by comparing transactions that immediately follow and precede the one you want to check that you can have an idea of whether the trade of interest was a buy or a sell.

It's slightly more likely to be a sell than a buy methinks (and unfortunately).

The SP is lower than that of the previous 500k shares transaction.

But at 0.29p, it's still much higher than previous sells, that's why I'm not quite confident that it was a sell.

Let's see if the advertised bid/ask changes (I don't have L2 access.) - if it was a buy, then the bid/ask will go up shortly.
