Anyone thinks that Thomas Cook wants to sell its airline at all costs (the Daily Telegraph reported its plan to become a holiday comparison site), or do you think it will be more careful with that (possible) sale?

This BB and Twitter are full keyboard warriors, calling for Colin to be voted out but doing nothing, or next to nothing.

I understand that the one time some shareholders accepted to band together (allegedly holding more than the 5% shares required), they ended up going nowhere.

I'm actually not invested anymore, though checking Twitter actively for any credible whiff of news.

But this BB is full of hot air and reading it regularly is probably bad for anyone's mental state...

But I have not seen that being part of the resolutions. So start gathering support (5% min IIRC) so it is added to the list if you do want him out. Otherwise, this is just more hot air.

Compressor - that is not correct, if you'd done a bit of digging you'd find out too that it will be useful, permits or not.

Rest of the situation - we have a very partial story, but we got info from the press reports (the real ones) and the report of the parliamentary question from last week to know that ignorance is being exploited. So we have a very very small idea of what's going on.

As to dilution, do you have a better idea to keep the company alive? Obviously, this makes it more and more unlikely that the SP will go back to 2p. If you are not happy about it, vote at the AGM, or sell off and move on.

And people conveniently ignore that the SR was stopped because Jure Leben threw a spanner in the works. No business in its right mind would invest in Ascent's Slovenian interests after witnessing how the grant of essential permits are at the mercy of the whim of individuals with no apparent accountability.

JL's decision was unexpected from everyone. And I hope he gets sued for everything he owns for all his illegal actions and the enormous damage he has caused not just to the parties involved, but also his country (incl. when he was at the Ministry of Infrastructure).

The compressor can be used on other wells so a restim permit wouldn't make it wasted money - I don't recall the details, but it was mentioned in the last RNS IIRC.

Also, the way CH has toned down his speech re: legal action suggests (but it's by no means certain) that he did not find litigation finance.
So if I were the Slovenian PM and/or the environment minister, I'd wait until Ascent's BoD is being given the power to raise more money or not (see the resolutions for the AGM).
If Ascent's BoD does not get those resolutions approved and therefore cannot raise more money, it would then be likely that it could not afford to sue the relevant Slovenian institutions, and those Slovenian politicians could decide to stick to the decision to block the permits via the EIA excuse, and thus come out as environmental champions for their electors, regardless of the long-term economic and environmental (since gas is way less poluting than coal) consequences for their country...

There have been quite a few sells for a while. It's a massive leap to assume that there is a big sell in the background IMO.

The only thing that experience has shown again and again and again is that AIM shares are largely owned by PIs with (relatively) small holdings, so they buy / sell faster upon news updates. Thus making AIM shares extremely volatile.

It is likely that VERY good news could make the SP shoot up then crash down soon after as PIs sell off their profits.
For example, I recall when Ascent Resources' SP increased by about 1,000% and then crashed back down to earlier levels within a 1-2 days in March (IIRC) 2016. UKOG's SP doubled and crashed back down in about 30mn - 1h last summer after a confirmation of funding was RNS'd.

What holders need to hope for is an outright takeover, ensuring that the SP does not crash down within minutes. What would justify a takeover is anyone's guess...

Actually, John B did NOT say during the presentation that he'd buy shares. He only commented about how undervalued the mcap was.

Blue and red colour trades are a very very very bad indicator of sell/ buys. Read my posting history for an explanation as to why.

And no share is safe to buy, especially ANY small fledging company.

The "Big Boys" tend to buy shares in primarily larger established businesses as they are normally risk averse, because they have much to lose. So don't expect a "big boy" to buy into any AIM or main market small cap company, however well run it is.

Watching2 - how do you imagine shorters can "control a share price"?

Anyone read the proposed resolutions? they ask that the directors be given to issue more shares. At a very very very brief glance, about 1/3 of the current share capital.

Angus is not allowed to do field work on weekends and bank holidays according to its license. It (or Jonathan) sent a tweet about it a few weeks ago.

And generally, do you really think that this company has the cash to spare to pay extra for people to work on weekends and band holidays anyway?

This is because market makers exclusively (or almost) control the stock, so they can offer prices that are different from what they advertise (which is what is displayed on L2). Combine that with a large (advertised) spread and you have a perfect set up for manipulation.

L2 makes sense when you have a variety of actors (not just MMs) who offer / buy shares in the main market (medium and large cap only), so no cartel-like situation. And the much tighter spread makes it near impossible to offer something different from what's advertised.
