Nothing is abnormal and unexpected here, but again, that's not how small caps / aim works. So there may be great opportunities to top up after a day or two.

PIs will be selling now - saying that more time and more work is necessary, however reasonable and realistic, gets "get rich quick" people sell in droves unfortunately...

t123ham - "The rules are the rules" does not make unclear rules clear and Rule 40 does phrase things in a discretionary way. However, I have now seen a few reports of other AIM shares suspended for that reason over the past year.

t123ham - the quote is incomplete, you took off "pursuant to rule 40".

Rule 40:
"The Exchange may suspend the trading of AIM securities where: [...] ?it considers that an AIM company has failed to comply with these rules;"

So reading Rule 40 shows that it's discretionary.

A late filing of accounts does NOT lead to a suspension, it leads to a fine of a few hundred pounds. It's the repeated failure to comply that can lead to more serious consequences.

Isn't that a bit too optimistic: going after someone else's license?! That works when you are an established operator / producer with the spare cash to buy a % of someone'se else's rights, and can gather equipment quickly to start production faster than the initial license holder.

Please remember that the MMs' official job is to create (and maintain) an orderly market. So they have to prevent crazy hikes / drops if they can, and conversely they do not want let the SP be too stagnant for too long either or there will be even less interest.

Hence the SP's reactions depending on the volume.

Additionally, please remember that MMs are not investors, they make money based on the spread between buys and sells. With high volume, no need for a big spread to make money. With low volume, they need larger spreads.

This whole "MMs are accumulating shares, hence not letting the SP go up" is unlikely (although I cannot verify for sure, I'm not an MM and they are pretty secretive).

That's actually not odd. The impact of trades on the movement of the SP is partly due to the volume. Even if there are loads of shares around, if there are barely any trades, the MMs' algos with adjust and make the price move up or down more with small amounts of trade.
If / when the volume picks up, individual trades will have less of an impact on the price - this is to prevent an explosion / implosion of the share price.

And after accounts are filed, they are not automatically published as it can take a few days for Companies House to process them.

And finally, not filing accounts on time does NOT automatically lead to a suspension. It leads to a (small-ish) fine. It's only after repeated failures to comply that a suspension can happen.

They were supposed to be in face-to-face negotiations about the finer points two weeks ago, so anything within the next few days or so would make sense... but WTFDIK!?

Streaky007 - not automatically. You may just have been one of many in a very long queue of people wanting to sell. And MMs always give priority to those selling "at best" vs those only willing to sell at a fixed price.
