I’m assuming any of the 42000 barrels that was produced in q1 would be in the inventory in the q1 results so they wouldn’t have been totally excluded. Should contribute to net assets also. May be worth more once sold if price has risen.

Sometime in April smarttech will ipo. But could be anytime in April. Also we shouldn’t assume we are still part of the ipo … probably are … but not certain.

From an investor confidence perspective the only line that matters in this report is ‘ these circumstances represent a material uncertainty as to the Group's ability to continue as a going concern.’

In Sunday Roast interview this morning Carl said samples had been sent to South Africa for analysing (I got the impression that analysis will be for coking coal and also for coke - presumably there are systems available in South Africa to convert the raw sample to both coking coal and then coke)

I think nmc are trying to take E&y auditors to court in the states for $4bn negligence. So in 10 years when that concludes we can take the same path in a class action.

Nmc are due to exit administration by Dec 16th. Does anyone know what that means for shareholders (not suspect, but know)?

Also, assuming we get nothing I’d expect a law company to be organising a class action for the shareholders for fraud. Have only seen something at the beginning of last year covering us shareholders though.

A curious point:

On 14th may rns it says ‘ The bulk samples will then be transferred to Hwange, where it will be washed by the Potential Offtake Partner's plant before being run through its laboratory’. At their cost.

Todays rns references Bureau Veritas laboratory in South Africa. That Laboratory has many clients which may or may not include the offtake partner.

Given the Chinese offtake partner was paying for the laboratory analysis it’s interesting there is no mention of them in todays update.

So… it could be these are the results they paid for and the relationship remains positive; or it could be a different analysis the company has paid for and they are no longer in discussions with that partner . It would have helped if they had been a little more explicit.

I guess that does mean, should it all go t*ts up, you can declare a capital loss on your tax return.

Whilst we expect news soon, the Twitter excitement seems to be generated by a business times article dating back to May 27th.

Often, when companies post annual results, they include the cash balance at the most recent month end for context. It’s a shame this wasn’t done just to give sn idea how they’ve performed post year end (especially as the results are nearly 6 months after year end which is a tad long).
