Damion not really when the RNS indicates a new CEO will be appointed so a spend increase

I wanted to speculate a little more on the changes at SAR HQ. I acknowledge the comments from some that the shuffle has always been intended. I am not convinced by this argument, a small company like SAR IMO are unlikely to use executive search companies or advertise a role, if the succession was planned I contend that it would not have been done at a pivotal moment and that the BOD would have pre identified a CEO from their network and the RNS would have contained both the appointment and sideways move.

The second option that a licence or JV partner required the move as part of a deal again seems unlikely. It would just be part of the deal when announced.

A third option is sudden ill health and I sincerely hope that is not the root cause so will not speculate in that direction.

For me therefore this leaves only a TO, as I have posted previously the Takeover Panel requires a CEO to negotiate in the best interests of the Company. If Tim has a conflict or is unable to negotiate in the best interests of the company or felt Parker could get a better deal for shareholders, then stepping to one side is the clear course of action to allow a possible deal to progress.

Fascinating period as we await news GLA

Let's hope we are deep in negotiations, these things always take time, both sides fighting for the most beneficial deal, if a license I think I would prefer a modest upfront but larger milestones. GLA

In this pause for news I am musing over strategy once significant news drops. If not a takeover and a licencing deal is agreed the question is how to respond, top slice or hold on for 737 news. Lots to think about....

BH , I agree the constant waiting is frustrating whether it's for data results, 737 news or any other step in the process. Although no consolation things do take time and as SOG says detail and diligence is vital in this Industry particularly with high value deals being a likely outcome. Much as I would love to see news at 11 today, it will appear in its own time. The speed of the next phase will I think be in other hands either by licence or TO. GLA

Well a few weeks have passed since the inital safety data RNS and subsequent CEO announcement. An update on the safety data will hopefully arrive this week, hopefully with some clarity on thw next steps. Although I don't really buy into signals and angel numbers, I will happily eat my words if there is red dot in the morning spilling the beans on where SAR are. GLA

Who cares about signals, I don't, trust your own research, are the outcomes worth the risk, if you have a high risk appetite this is the perfect stock. If you like safety you are in the wrong stock. GLA

Despite the attempts to misdirect by some, we can expect news and it will arrive in due course

- Way forward for 1801

- 737 update

Possible news

- possible license deal for 1801 (possibly including 1802)

- Possible takeover

- future plans for 1802

I am not really engaged by many of the recent posts. This is a high risk high reward share, if you cannot afford to hold on bad news you probably should not invest. I believe this share has great upside potential but I can only look at published info. An attraction for this type of share is you can make profit versus a guaranteed loss against high volume trading apps. Hopefully many of us even though we have differing strategies can make an attractive profit here but investing is hard and requires strong nerves. GLA and please DYOR, do not listen to me or the other posters, we all have strategies, which maybe be complementary but may also contradict. I do though truly wish all holders the best of luck in what I feel maybe the endgame

In terms of a Take Over it is normally the CEO who leads negotiations, if Tim strongly opposed a TO but the remaining board members favoured accepting a deal then he may have been moved aside to allow the negotiations to be lead by another eg Stephen as temporary CEO, the need for a new permanent CEO then never materialises. I feel this scenario makes a TO the most likely outcome as a JV or Licencee putting in their own CEO would probably be announced with the deal. GLA

Yes news on its way in the near future, IMO do not think the Tim move to COO would have happened unless significant news is imminent. Question is if just 1801 related, 1801 and 2, a full T/O if not a takeover then hopefully 737 news will be out soon as we are now nearing 7 months from the related RNS. Exciting times watching for that next red dot or dots. GLA

Laz, I suspect this RNS on the change in Tim's role would not have been announced unless a clear route forward was identified. For what it's worth my guess is that the deals on offer are not within appetite. I believe though that the results are good and they have found an investor to cover the costs to go deeper into trials and to command a higher return if successful. As part of the investment a CEO acceptable to the investor will be implanted to drive the programme and future commercialisation. Tim will have been guaranteed ongoing involvement as part of the deal so that he can continue to be involved in the delivery of what has been a big piece of his life for many years (and rightly so IMO). Very excited to see developments from here. IMO dilution from the investor will be more than offset by the potential returns of going deeper and the financial certainty of secure funding. GLA

A good innings from Tim and I hope he does have a sense of personal satisfaction on all he has achieved. For me it does feel like a requirement for a deal of some kind, perhaps VC but with a requirement for their own CEO in place or one of the other deal options. All very encouraging though. You have to feel things are afoot. GLA

Have to say I was surprised by the drop last week but it foes not change the fact that our safety profile is proved at therapeutically effective levels with a single daily capsule. This makes this a highly attractive option and I personally continue to hold and believe that there will be interested parties now that the first phase of the trial is complete. Will it be a TO, a licence for just 1801 or one covering 1801 and 2, who knows I personally think one of these will be the preferred way forward, the BOD have just had first hand experience of going it alone and the financial pressures that come with it. News could come at anytime on this as well as on 737 which can still deliver significant SP upside. Lots still to be hopeful for here and lots of value to position at the negotiating table. GLA

Lots of selling today but I hope to see a steady rise from here on the expectation of more news. For me though today is a major derisk event, I feel very bullish from here on rises in SP for the next couple of news events. Both 1801 and 1802 benefit from this news and we must now be actively on the radar of pharma, news on safety data plus the medium term way forward and hopefully some 737 news can all drive the SP upwards and onwards. Excellent RNS to wake upto, agree that some will be profit taking, will be interesting to see where we end the week also a nice flow of news now possible to keep the market interested. GLA

Oh well there's still 11 for today, will be very frustrated if all we get is a delay RNS tomorrow as that could have already been done.

I have to say interesting though the speculation on seirra and 737 is I really just can't see it. I really do not believe they are involved, yes perhaps ex employees but I would be absolutely amazed if it is Seirra themselves. However I do fully expect great things in due course the science in Combo looks compelling and I firmly believe the value here is material. GLA

Yes nice to see some FOMO let's hope the news arrives as promised next week
