RE: Stockbox Interview Out3 Mar 2023 17:42
Just watched it and BT presented well as per usual. Much of it sounded very positive and promising. Now, I have no desire to add to existing negativity (I'm underwater here at 1.8p) and especially given that only a few days ago, I was calling for BT to do an interview. But, having listened to it, I have found myself (still) wondering exactly what the plan is here, and the order/direction of travel. For example:
- The first half was all about how confident KAV are in returning to the KCB and KSZ. But the second half was about how complex these projects are, the lack of patience of the market has to support their exploration, and therefore the need for KAV to find some lower hanging fruit. Inherent contradiction there or not?
- The first half suggested that existing funds would be used to "really go after" the B conductors and with renewed confidence at Karakubis (sp?). But by the end of it, BT was saying that the plan is to seek direct project finance into these projects, through selling a stake in existing and newly created holding companies. So will KAV only return to KCB/KSZ/Ditua if or once they have the direct project financing in place?
- It seems like KAV might be close to an 'earn in' type of deal on new projects, which will represent lower hanging fruit? Will they be prioritising the drilling of new projects over existing ones, and especially until they get project financing?
- Is the reason no timescales are being given, because the above mentioned corporate activities (direct project financing and earn in on new projects) need to be completed first, in order for KAV to decide?
- Overall: What will be the order of drilling this year. Do KAV even know? When are we (likely to be) returning to B1?
If any of you did manage to pick up more clarity than maybe I did in the above areas, do please feel free to share your understanding? All imo and DYOR
