It's important not to be too rigid with your expectations. You have to be prepared to adjust your approach with the emerging situation. What we each thought 12, 6 or even 3 months ago, will be different to the situation today. With multiple irons in the fire, there is simply no way I can sensibly come up with a strategy now, which foresees all the various possibilities. For example, in December 2024, I might have thought that 20p was a reasonable target and viewed this as swing trade. Now, 3 months later, I am thinking of 20p as merely the starting line and looking at holding this for a much longer period. SO much has happened here in 3 months, that this is a different investment proposition now, than it was back in December. As well as the results and new fronts at PEPAS, the biggest factor is the institutional and HNW buying power coming into the stock. None of us are going to move the stock, but these large players surely will. They aren't here for 20p or even 30p. They will be looking for new highs and multiples of the current share price.
Therefore, at present, I firmly believe that continued exploration success WILL result in OMI making a run for its 2020 high. Any one of the projects could cause such a move, but the first to go, and hence the front runner, is of course PEPAS. But it could happen as a result of El Pantano or El Cedro, because each of these projects are company making in their own right and each is capable of leading to a new high in the share price.
Each time I reflect on this, I need to lie down. Call it ramping if you like, but my money is where my mouth is and the conviction is for real, because this is the real deal - and a very rare opportunity, the kind of which you will only find once every few years unless you are very active and well researched in the markets and cross jurisdictional.
