RE: Re: Next gold price20 Mar 2025 11:31
The share price didn't get near the placing price and is now back to where it was before the placing was announced. The placing was said to have been fully taken up in the first 48 hours, with institutions taking most of it. We are now heavily cashed up with some of the best acreage around. The gold price is north of 3000, with projections of it continuing to march north because of geopolitics and the need for a safe haven.
Overall, this is one of the best opportunities on AIM right now and the sky's the limit in terms of how high it might go from here. It's still a relatively small float, most stock is tightly held, institutions and HNW are buying in at 9p and will therefore support the share price on the way up.
We all know that the biggest ingredients to share price growth are to end up in a story stock situation with a project that produces world class holes, during a bull run in the underlying commodity, with a large financial runway ahead of you and the prospect of JVs at the end of it. We have ALL of this here and more.
I think we will easily outperform GGP because that moves like an elephant compared to OMI because of the size of the float. On big news days, MM are more likely to run out of float here, than they will over there. I also believe our story is unfolding and hence much more exciting, whereas GGP's has mostly been told by now. But it's not really a competition with GGP. We have our own pitch.
I think once we get confirmation that the placing has been closed, know the amounts raised and who from, this will start to climb back towards that 15p level just on that confirmation, as folk start to position themselves for what's coming up here in 2025. We also have ISA money coming into play in April, and where better to load up than OMI?
I can't emphasise enough the importance of the institutional money coming in here. I think that is going to be the single biggest cause of share price movement in response to exploration success. We will see days where the stock will go up significantly in just one trading session, and some weeks where we could easily do 50%+ on positive results.
Barring any calamity in the wider markets (which you can never rule out given current geopolitics), it's a case of strapping yourselves for what is likely to be one helluva ride here. I hope its a long ride with lots of exciting outcomes and crazy share price growth.
I think I need to lie down and calm down.
