Understood Merchant. Don't take issue with much of that, other than I think the freeze in question does apply to DFC TAG payments, and not just USAID payments. Other poster(s) on here, I can't remember who, have confirmed as much. Moreover, there do not appear to have been any TAG payments handed out by the DFC to any company since January, when the freeze order came in. Therefore, it does seem that the current freeze applies across all foreign activities/payments, not just USAID ones?

Assuming this is correct, when the relevant DFS milestones are reached by Bres (next few months?), will the DFC payments be forthcoming? There are three possibilities:

1) The DFC payments will be made as agreed and OC will be a project that has survived this Review. This is probably the most likely scenario?

2) The Review will still be ongoing, meaning payments will be delayed until the Review is complete. Or because DFC is going through a reauthorisation.

3) The payments will not be made because Orom Cross has not survived a Review, and will be served with a suspension notice. This is probably the most unlikely outcome.

I note what you say that regardless, the funding gap has been filled with the recent raise, but it would still be bad news not to get the DFC payments when they are due. Overall, it would be good/better if Bres just came out and said they are anticipating receiving the DFC payments upon said milestones being completed. All imo and dyor

Key few months coming up to deliver on that strategy. I'd say we need to be seeing a significant increase in production over the summer months. Because of the gold price, if they can get into the 750 ounces region at least over the next few months, I can see the market giving them more time to get to the 1koz, because the general trajectory and success of the strategy will have been demonstrated, as well as the profitability of the company.

Good price that - just need to close above 4.2p. Should hopefully then rise back towards 5p in anticipation of phase 2 results.

Is that correct though? Didn't Bres say they needed additional funds even with these DFC payments? If so, the recent raise won't be sufficient without the remaining DFC payments. The $1 million raise isn't going to last all that long, especially as it's going to be used up by this drilling. What happens after that?

So i'd say the situation with the DFC (as the co-funder of the DFS) is actually quite critical to ensuring the current timetable remains on track. It's not just the payments but the timing of them. They are likely to be needed soonish - can Bres afford to wait for the DFC? If so, for how long without stalling the DFS? Can Bres afford NOT to wait for DFC, however long it takes? Is there a plan B for proceeding without DFC?

Ultimately, I agree that it's all down to MR to confirm and clarify the above. Seems to have gone a bit quiet of late and at the wrong time. The placing sells are coming in at ever decreasing prices, and there's likely a fair bit of churning to get through. So all in all, needs something positive from Bres to arrest the decline. Not dramatic, but just how it is. All imo and dyor

Mercedes - if you look at the chart, there is no overhead resistance above 5p. So once it breaks through 5p, it's all blue sky upside potential from that point onwards.

Bid gone up. I think last chance to get anything below 4.2p. Retest of 5p looks like it might be brewing up.

Needs a positive announcement re the DFC funds. Should find out this week if those funds remain frozen. Share price will go up or down on that news.

I'd say it has a decent chance of rising further into this permit anticipation. Much depends on whether GEX then uses the opportunity to raise funds before drilling, or drilling results. I would say there is a very high probability of this.

So it might be a good play to get in now and then jump out on permit being granted.

The real trade was at 5p, but there was too much distrust for me at that point, and it's hard to completely shake it off. But looks like the documentation is now going into DEMIRS!

KR - good to read about your wins on Zeph and Hex. Nice one. I would tend to agree with Dai that HEX would be a risky one if they don't get good results. They are now in production mode, and so can't afford to start that story with a bad drill result. It will be hard to recover sentiment as Rudyard is carrying all the hope right now.

GEX has been showing good relative strength - but still a risky play - and might lead the Helium plays over the summer if it gets that permit.

It's a non issue though for current investors. By December 2025, we will all have long since exited because GRL have failed to achieve their increased production, or they will have achieved it, making the whole loan issue academic.

In terms of that production target, the approach they are taking should reveal its success or failure by the summer, and well before the loan extension period comes to an end in December 2025.

So that at least is a non issue.

As for selling, it happens all the time. It could be warrants, it could be debt converted shares being sold, it could be large players accumulating stock before an anticipated re-rate, or it could be 'insiders' getting out whilst they can as per your more negative theorising. But really, it could be positive or negative?

Absolutely, and for 10p, you are buying ahead of the following newsflow, which no one can argue doesn't have the potential to launch OMI to the next level (if the results are good of course):

1) Results of the airborne magnetic survey.

2) Further drilling results from Pepas 1.

3) Further channel sampling results from around Pepas 1.

4) The first results at Pepas North where drilling is about to commence.

5) Sampling results from El Cedro where "results are expected to start becoming available within weeks"

So there is PLENTY from the above to give us something positive to look forward to when the next RNSs land here in the next 4 to 8 weeks.

I've got my largest position here and never been more relaxed about it. Seeing large fluctuations in my pnl (when it moves from 15p down to 9p for example) doesn't bother me at all. I have a casual indifference to what OMI does at these levels. In fact, i've got much smaller positions, but which exercise me a lot more than OMI! I've long since reconciled myself to the fact that this is going to be a very long term hold by usual AIM standards. I want to see how Pepas and El Cedro play out.

I'm starting to think of Pepas as two separate projects - the smaller at surface satellite deposits and then the monster source deposit deeper underground. We are only drilling the smaller at surface deposits, and they are potentially company making by themselves. But they could all be separate icings on a much larger cake.

There will be ups and downs, but if we strike with this upcoming drilling at North Pepas, with even half decent results, then that cements our position so far as the Pepas 'at surface' project is concerned, especially as its a larger strike area and we also know there are other similar strike areas at surface, such as the new one they have mentioned to the East.

And this is just at Pepas. You could write similar eulogies about El Cedro and El Pantano, which we haven't even touched yet. So the story is only just starting here, we have plenty of cash in the bank to continue to tell it and 10p is a great risk to reward entry level given the amout and size of potential on offer here. Well that debunks your earlier theory of AIML strategising to take the assets. They wouldn't have agreed to an extension period to the end of the year, thereby allowing GRL to more than sufficient time to get itself into a position to repay them? That's not turning the screw, but more releasing the pressure valve.

I agree they have had ample opportunity to buy. But I don't agree that they can buy right now, or will be able to for some time. They are bang in the middle of ongoing operations - drilling, sampling, sitting on preliminary survey results, taking potential JV interest calls, etc. So highly likely to be in a closed period and for some time now.

If you think it's a red flag, then I would exit, as they won't be buying shares, especially having awarded themselves with options, meaning they don't need to.

Large buys coming back in, no doubt all in anticipation of another rise on these Phase 2 results, as well as the copper and silver prices. We must not forget the silver here. Both are essential industrial metals!
