You will notice from my trades that there is a bias to shorting.

educators were saying great opportunity to get 2,000 pip move based on range trading to sell their education programme for £3k to £4k. without naming the currency pair just to get you sucked in

yes there was from 12,000 to 14,000. on the eur/usd

what did the market do?

you guessed it

went the other way 2,000 drop from 12,000 to 10,000

since 30 june 2008 the euro/usd has been in a bear channel decline.

presently in decline mode again after a bull retracement to 12425 from 10,300 a 2000 pip move to the upside.

price presently stalled @ 1.1438 that's 87 pips in a week so far

@£10 a pip = £870 x 50 = £43,500 annually

one way at looking at it

Check the times on the charts to achieve approx 25 pips

15 or 30 mins and no more trading for the day

25 pips x £10 a pip = £250 daily x 5 days = £ 1,250 weekly x 50 weeks = £62,500 annually

that's one way to look @ it

£10 a pip needs approx £4k margin deposit, straddle £8k and £12k if one wants to ride the 3d leg up or down to double the pips to 50 pis , in which case doible the above figures
£500 daily, £2,500 weekly, £ 125,000 yearly.

Looking back through old charts here are some examples of my favorite swing trade patterns the V and inverted V shape .

happens everyday on the ftse and eur/usd

just need to identify

support/resistance (fibonacci and forex4 noobs) for range

use 12 major candlestick reversal patterns followed by close above (long) below (short) the T line

safe to stay in trend if price keeps closing above T line (long) below (short)

with 1 caveat.

if price too far ahead of T line consider locking in all or part of your paper profit

3 very simple rules.

it's not rocket science

add stochastics 12:3:3 over bought/sold

and EMA's 13,21 and 54

voila

one has a very good strategy to practice, to get used to

You're supposed to watch the bloody webinars as Michael Caine might say DO IT NOW

PATIENCE - wait for some to come together, the more the better. especially the longer the trend before the potential reversal at least 5 candles

DISCIPLINE having patience, stop loss or straddle in place.

ominously close to strong support 0.89!

if that gives is it back to 0.4p? those smug LTH rampers won't be so smug

that discounted rights issue 1 for 7 @ 1p not looking so attractive!!! got a cool reception by investor sentiment which is king over fundas imo.mms desperate to deal spread has narrowed but still 10%

one has to question why rights issue to amateur shareholders and not a placing with professional investors with tie in clause if the future is so rosy

still a gamble imo BUT @ 1p and potential 3 to 4 bagger could be worth a £1k to £5k punt imo

dumped PREM one of my 2018 shares £500 loss, 7 digital £500 loss

REMINDER the EUR/USD has been in an overall bear trend since july 2008. there will be retracements but overall shorting is king.

buy the dip sell the retracements. works in both bull and bear trends,

just identify the overall trend channel on any time frame.

very useful charting tool together with ABC triangle, and rectangle but they tend to clutter smaller time frame charts

i've revealed my main source of horse selection other than fun names. the latter is purely personal and is very hit or miss but when they win, not very often, they are usually very good odds so make up for the losers.

why very good odds? because i tend to avoid fun names with odds under 8/1 unless they have a modicum of form.

why fun names?

because my wife seemed to have much better results than me @ fantastic odds. remember cheltenham when she got winners @ 18/1, 20/1 and 25/1 from memory i think doze followed one of them.

all from me just reading out the names of the horses and her picking one or two. all done in 5 minutes no reference to form whatsoever, odds, nothing whereas i can take hours studying form, statistics.

maybe she's a physic?
