Yesterdays selection from Carl Nicholson's Racing Diary won comfortably in the end and was heavily supported into 6/4 favouritism.

Today we have a football bet from James Pacheco and a racing bet from the Racing Consultants who are already 13 points up this week and who will hopefully build on that today.
I've included the sports bet in this email, but if you want to be sure to receive a footy or sports bet every Friday then you need to get on our Free Sports Betting list.

Here's the Champions League assessment and selections from James...
Two years later, here we are again. Different city but same two teams, who for a bit of trivia, are the only two sides in history from the same city to contest a Champions League or European Cup final.
Two years ago Real won it, in the process making it ‘La decima’, but they had a fair few breaks along the way. Atletico lost Diego Costa early on to injury although in truth, he probably shouldn’t have been risked in the first place given he’d been struggling with injuries for weeks.
That had repercussions because it meant Atletico had to use one of their substitutions up early which came back to bite them in the backside because their players were out on their feet during extra time. Then again, they should probably have avoided extra time, having conceded deep into injury time.
That of course is all in the past but I’ve felt that not only in that final but in the two years in between, Atletico have been the better side. The main reason for that is probably the constant Managerial changes at Real; since that famous match they had Carlo Ancelotti in charge for another season, Rafael Benitez at the start of this one and now Zinedine Zidane while Atletico have remained with Diego Simeone in charge.
And why wouldn’t they? The Argentine has performed miracles with a good squad but not a brilliant one, simply making the most out of what he’s got despite losing key figures such as Diego Costa, Turan and Courtois.
One thing is for sure: they’re much more of a team than Real and that could make all the difference. Remarkably, these two teams have played each other 10 times in the last season and Real have won just once: a 1-0 win in last year’s Champions League semi-final courtesy of Javier Hernandez.
Atletico won five of those with four draws so even if you don’t believe Diego Simeone’s men are the better team, it’s impossible to argue they don’t have the better head-to-head record in recent times. This could be a narrow win but even if it does go to extra-time, I’d seriously fancy Atletico who from what I’ve seen, are arguably the fittest side in Europe so rather than the straightforward win, I prefer backing them at a shorter price to lift the trophy at 2.26.
The other bet I really like here is for Diego Godin to be booked. This fixture brings out the worst in a player who already has a pretty poor disciplinary record. 10 yellows in 49 matches this season doesn’t sound too bad but he clearly saves his worst behaviour for the big games. He was sent against Barcelona at the NouCamp and has seen yellow in six of his last eight matches against Real.
